If this fan lasts for years then I guess it was worth the cost but I've purchased three other fans for around the same price that are of much higher quality. I don't like that this fan goes together without any screws, the front and back plastic on the one I purchased don't fit together smoothly at all, the front part seems slightly warped so they do connect but there is far too much play. the lowest speed is too strong if you want a light breeze blowing on you at night. It's very noise, does not sound like a quality fan. the screwless attachment to the base is a wobly, so much so that if I want to control the fan without the remote I have to hold it with one hand and use the other to push the buttons, otherwise the fan moves around quite a bit. I thought I'd give a different fan a try and I regret it.
