Effective in small spaces, but struggles in larger areas.

Purchased this for a friend until their actual AC unit was replaced. Was told that it works well and has help cool of the home.

absolutely fantastic works all 4 hrs a day  and then some moves easily and works really great better than a window air in my opinion 2, at my age i have never had anything like it I am getting ready to order another 1

So far so good. After reading the reviews I didn't know what to expect.  Set up was easy but I'm glad I had a hacksaw to cut off the extra length on the window panel.  I read that others had problems with the hose adapter staying in the window panel. Honestly I had a slight problem with this too UNTIL I realized the 2 short screws included need to be screwed in through the back side of the window panel to the hose adapter. (I  first tried from the front but they aren't long enough.) It's firmly attached now! As for noise it really is no louder than the window AC I used to have. I  was worried that it might wake me up at night when it turns off %26 on, but I set the fan speed to low %26 it doesn't.  My one complaint might be that there is no way I can fit even a shallow pan underneath the lower drain plug because it's too close to the floor. I saw a previous review where they used puppy pads so that's what I'm planning to try if it needs to he drained. So far it hasn't needed to be. It took me a while to figure out what temperature it needed to be set on to get the room to where I wanted it, but once I did it maintains the temperature perfectly.  Overall I'm very happy with it %26 so glad that I will no longer have to find someone to put a window AC unit in my 2nd floor bedroom window!

This unit works nicely. Hoses seem to be better designed for secure fit. I would recommend getting one.

I bought 2 of these units ,different companies.

The don't have all correct fittings for hoses. And the need a pump for condensation if your going to be trying to drain into cookie sheet as there is no way to use any kind of bucket or other collection device because the one of two drain holes are below the  actual housing between the wheels. The only way to get proper gravity drain is to put it up on  something that fits between wheels it has groove to keep it from moving. They are like this and it's a poor design for any unit  to not have easy drainage and condensation pump should be built in. 🤦‍♀️!

[Employee of walmartcanada] can't re-direct the cool air because flaps are not even mouvable by hand. Is not a Dehum and too noisy during sleep mode

Costway 8000 BTU Portble A/C

This AC unit blows hot and then it blows cold and then it blows hot and then it blows cold for a while and then it'll blow hot again! I live in Las Vegas. I cannot have this happening! It is 122° in my place right now because this AC unit will not keep it cool and I live in an RV.
