Container's cost is relatively high compared to similar products.

Performs exactly as expected.  I didn't really want to spend the $ on it, but it was well worth it. I use my Vitamix daily for a green smoothie and the plastic container didn't take long to get stained, hard to clean, and started to be a bit smelly. None of that with the stainless. No regrets with my purchase.

Worth the cost

This is really solid and so happy they finally made a SS container…been a Vitamix user for over 20 yrs and was looking forward to this day. If it is a tad heavy, and I wish they made one just a little bit smaller for a personal smoothie size, but it's very nice for soups, sauces and larger smoothies.

Very well made

I'm so glad to have an option that isn't plastic. It works great. I was worried about being able to clean around the bottom and thought it might be weird not being able to see in like you can with glass or plastic, but that doesn't bother me. It's easy enough to look in the top. And cleaning has not been difficult. I do rinse it out right away. I don't let things harden in there, but I think even if they did, it would just need to soak and then for things actually release from around the blades pretty easily

Expensive but worth it

I am not sure how we ever went without this Stainless Steel Blender.  One of my concerns was if it would have good or proper markings for fill levels AND IT DOES!  The markers appear to be black, laser etched markings AND are easily seen from the interior of the container.  A glass window would be great, but I get it from a manufacturing standpoint, and regardless it is PERFECT!!  Great job and thanks for offering a non-plastic version for those of us that might be conscious of forever chemicals.  Now, I just hope the metallic alternative is a high-quality material (fingers crossed)!!

A MUST HAVE!!

The container is a perfect fit and eliminates my concern about microplastics shedding from worn plastic containers into food. I prefer stainless steel. It cleans up well and looks great, too. I hope that Vitamix will make a stainless steel 64-oz container as well.

High quality product

After using my Vitamix for over 10 years, I wanted an upgrade. The original container was making strange noises while mixing and was looking worn. I had wanted the stainless container for a while. It mixes and cleans like a dream. I went from the 64oz taller container to the shorter 48oz, but the transition was easy. I haven't over filled it once and it feels like I have a new Vitamix. Fitting under the cabinet is icing on the cake. Here's to another 10 years, or more!!

I love the Stainless low profile container

The container is great but the stick to plush things down is cheap plastic and touches the tips of the blades. My 13 year old daughter made a smoothly and drank it. When I went to clean it the end of the stick was scraped up with bits of plastic scrapped off.  I need to get a different type of stick.

Great container but the stick is the wrong length

Much better than plastic.  Last week I used it for a hot soup with no worries of microplastics melting their way into my dinner deliciousness.  OK, you can't see inside while blending, but it's super easy to take off the lid.

Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is how sharp the edges are.  They haven't cut me, but they could be smoother/rounded.

Also, if things aren't mixing so well with your old blender bowl, it may not be the motor, as was my case.  The new blender bowl clicked in the gears with no problem

Big improvement

Great for keeping out the micropladtocs, but it is a bit heavy and I have cut myself (paper cuts) on its sharp edges. I do miss the see through benefits of having a clear container when adding water to make a smoothie. Otherwise, it does the job.

Stainless steel container

I bought this to replace the plastic blender container that came w the Vitamix which had a handle about to come off.  Why this is 16 oz smaller than the original, plastic container is my main question.  Just wanted one that wasn't patched together by duct tape but it makes soup making more difficult because it can't be done in one batch.  On the positive side, I suppose if dropped, it won't break so easily as the original

And why doesn't this come in 64 oz size?

It's a very nice container but when paired with my base it automatically Shuts off after 10 -15 seconds on any setting. I've only tried to make smoothies so far and can't get anything blended smooth
