I bought 2 air purifiers about a month ago. I had an awful cough for going on 3 years.  Sometimes to the point of getting sick.  My doctor told me it was all allergies but I'm not able to take any allergy medicine without it making me sick or making me to tired.  While on vacation (where I wasnt coughing)  we had figured out i was probably allergic to our dog. My husband seen an air purifier in the store and that's what got us thinking about one because of it saying it helped with pet dancer. Once we got back from vacation I did some research and order 2 from your website.  Best thing I've ever done.  I don't cough nearly as much and have not gotten sick.  In the future I will be purchasing another one and hopefully that will take care of the whole house and my cough.

Reviewed several products not knowing which one to pick. Had issues with excessive dust in rooms. I choose this particlar item due to value. So far I have kept it in a bedroom and did extensive cleaning with it running on high. The first few days I didn't think it was working, but within the month I could not believe the particles it pulled out of the air. It is noisy on high, but you could think of it as a noise reduction benefit. On lower levels it is very quiet.

I ordered this, because I am in an apartment, and my neighbors smoke, and it comes into my place.
This unit takes ALL THE NASTY SMELLS OUT.  I cant even tell anymore.
It does have 3 ! filters when its time to replace.  But still well worth it. !!!!  

I even tested the theory and turned the unit off, and the smells came back.!  
It is alittle loud on setting 4,  but I just turn it down.

Absolutely Love this

Bought it for my wife who has breathing difficulties and is very sensitive to dust and other air contaminants. Have had this unit operating for a month and she is delighted with the results. She says there is a huge improvement with her breathing. This unit well suited for a larger room, which is where it's used. Very happy with this unit.

Excellent air purifier

I got this when my Allergies and Asthma were the worst they have been in 10 years!!!   I was desperate!  I researched others and this had best reviews for longevity, quality, value, square footage  of space cleaned and results.  
 I used it right away!  Cleans better than the one twice as expensive, that I ordered on line, the same day we picked this one up at Walmart!!  This one just desn't have the timer.... not a big deal!!    This one  Cleans dog dander, pollen, dust....  everything !! great machine.     It says 300 square feet, but we have a large bedroom and worked well !    Great machine!!!!

Holmes Air Purifier HAP8650B-NU

I would and do recommend this ai puifier to anyone that has allergies and sensitivities to mold or mildew. This unit does the job. I paid 3X more for another BIG Name Brand and they no longer work andnever really did the job. 

We have dogs and their dander makes me sneeze...used to!

Does what they say it does

Overall this air purifier works great. When the unit is on high, it is a little on the noisy side. I am using it to remove dander from my birds. I have the unit sitting right next to the cage and I have noticed a decrease in the amount of dander in the room.

A co-worker told me he had purchased this unit and raved about it daily. I purchased one for us, as we have 3 dogs and constantly are having sinus issues. I had never thought about the allergens in the house being the cause. We have had ours running non-stop since I purchased it and can see the difference with less dust in the air. This purchase was for my son for his house, after seeing ours he wanted one. Great purchase! Easy to use, very little care - long life hepa filters.

Made a difference right away!

This unit works well.  It's a little bit loud on the higher settings, but on the lower settings it's fine.  It's too loud on high to watch TV.  We simply turn it on high when we leave, then turn it down to low when we return.   The upside of that is that it also works good as a fan, it really puts out the air on high. 

For bedroom use, I'd recommend putting it on high during the day then on low at night.  On low the noise is hardly noticeable.  Overall, it does an excellent job of filtering the air, not a cough in the house since we got it.  Combine that with the relatively low HEPA filter cost, this unit is a win-win.

Good product

Really moves the air. Has made quite a difference since we purchased it. It is a lot louder than I was expecting however. If I run it on 1 or 2 it is fairly quiet , but when I go to 3 or 4 it is REALLY loud.

Overall happy with it! Has helped with my breathing!

A bit loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered two for large rooms. One works fine but the other one keeps on popping open and therefore automatically shuts down. After so many tries, I finally have to use a strong tape to keep it together. Ugly of course, but I am not going to go through the trouble of sending it back and there's no guarantee that replacement will be perfect. I do notice from the reviews that this is a common problem.
