Heats up rapidly and distributes heat consistently.

This was a gift for my wife, whose R.A. makes it difficult to wield a cast iron Dutch oven.  Cooks Country magazine recommended the 6 quart tri-ply sauce pot as a light weight alternative.  But the pot is so much more, especially at a much better price than the top shelf clad products (I call it my "stainless steal").  First project: pinto beans, followed by West Texas chili - both great successes!

It is made of good quality.
It cooks evenly and cleans up great I have 3 other pots and this one fits in nicely

Sauce pot

Best gift for Sunday Sauce.  My husband is Italian and learned to cook from his grandmother from Italy.  We are always looking for good quality pots and this brand seems to fit the bill.  Will continue to buy more of their products.

Birthday surprise

This 8 Qt pot is more than large enough for family pasta night, big batches of chili, and stock—WITHOUT being so huge it won't fit in the cabinet under the kitchen counter, or so heavy it's unwieldy. The handles' placement achieves a comfortable carrying balance. The lid fits well. The pot heats well on my induction range, and is easy to clean. The mirror finish is a handsome addition to the kitchen.

Go-to stock pot

I love the feel and weight of this great pan.  It cleans up easily and always appears brand new.  The lid fits tightly on the pan which allows for even cooking and no jiggling of the lid. If you follow the suggestions on how to use your cookware, you will always be very happy with the results.  Thank you Tramontina, you've made me a successful chef!

Rule in the kitchen!

It's a great pot. Heats well and evenly. Not heavy but strudy. Perfect size for our meals (4 people, 6 Quart). Easy to clean. My mother is a seasoned home cook, and uses this daily. I would buy it again. The 2 quart sauce pan (our first tramontina product) was great as well

Great Pot

Love love love our new Tramontina stock pot. Super sturdy and well constructed combined with a great price point. 
This was actually rated very highly by America's Test Kitchen which helped make my decision between this and the AllClad brand. I have some AllClad pans and I can say that Tramontina is truly its equal. Already buying more pans from them.

Top of the line quality and price

Great with one flaw: the rim makes it hard to pour from neatly. I have no idea why the rim isn't rolled out for easy pouring, on this or any other cookware. It's a stock pot-- pouring things out is one of the expected tasks. Other than that, it's a good stock pot!

Good Pot, Confusing Rim

I have the 2 quart and 4 quart and wanted to replace my 8 quart  pot that was nonstick. This 8 quart pot is great. I have used it to make a stew. It was great for sauteing the onions, browning the meat and cooking everthing else. Easier cleanup than my nonstick.
