Collar seems to be working well.  Our neighbors have stopped complaining about the dogs barking, and we get virtually no alerts from our Furbo that the dogs are barking.  We originally tried the ultrasonic collar, but the dogs got used to it and were barking again.  This collar has made the difference.

Our dog has always been very vocal and barked excessively, at anything and everything for no rhyme or reason. We recently moved from a house and into a non pet friendly apartment. We knew we needed to try and curb the behavior so we purchased this collar. It works. No more incessant barking.

Works for our pitty

We bought this for our Beagle, and it works wonderfully. As we live in a 4plex, we can't be having a constantly barking dog 8 hours a day while we are gone. Fast charging and holds a charge for a really long time.

Works wonders!

I have the whole yard fence style  system.  Planning to buy the barking one.  The collars are an issue.  My dog kept working the collar loose by scratching his neck.  I found a way to keep it in place by taking it back over the end and pulling back through the head of the collar.  This may not explained so folks will get it, but it works.  PetSafe, you need to look at designing a collar that locks in place like the old leather collars did.  This stop all this sliding and make these collars useful.  I am still planning to buy the Bark Collar and will tread it the same way I did the other.  My dog lost the whole system more than once, but I was lucky, I found them each time.  Rob

The collars are the issue.

I just bought the bark collar with the 6 levels of correction. It seems to be working on my smaller dog, the only problem is, I went out looking for another collar in hopes of it coming with another charger. This one has batteries, which is fine but I have the older version (6ish years old) and I can't find a replacement charger for it. I paid a lot of money for the collar and the collar still works great but I can't use it without a charger. All the new ones seem to have a different port. Where the new ones look to have 2 prong ports and a single track for the charger to slide into. Mine has the 2 prong and 2 tracks. 
Could someone please tell me if their new collar also looks like this so I know if their new chargers will work?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this collar on my assortment of dogs, one large, one medium, and two small sized dogs. It worked for the small dogs but not the medium and large. My medium dog is long haired and I think he just had too much fur in the way for the collar to actually shock him. The large dog just continued to bark through it. Didn't matter to her at all. However, it did work on my two smaller sized dogs. They would stop barking fairly quickly. The material of the collar could be better, as it was hard to keep the prongs on the dog since it kept getting loose. I'd recommend this for medium and small dogs, as long as they are short-haired.

Works for some dogs

This product doesn't seem to work.  I've tried it on several of my dogs, and it just doesn't seem to get any response from them. I have a number of other PetSafe products, so I am familiar with how they work and how to adjust and set the collars. Compared to the invisible fence collars, and the big dog Elite bark collars, this product correction level strengths seem very weak. I was really hoping that this  product would work, and I am very disappointed.

Disappointing Product

I purchased this PCC))-15999 rechargeable bark control collar for large dogs and was very satisfied with the product until the recharge prongs broke. The plastic on the end of the 2 prong charging cable broke and stuck inside the port connector and now the 2 prongs are not able to be inserted back into the plastic part stuck to recharge.  I am so disappointed now after seeing other products and their charging mechanisms that seem more durable.   Simply put, I think the design is faulty to have plastic prongs for the charging mechanism.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a German Shepard that I have been working with excessive barking, I got this a tool to help teach him when it's not ok to bark. It did not work what so ever to curb his barking. I made sure it was charged that wasn't the problem, my dog has long hair so I though maybe it wasn't connecting. We tried it with our short haired Great Dane and still, did absolutely nothing to lessen the barking. We have tried for weeks and we are very disappointed in this collar. I'm not sure if it's would work better for different breeds but it did not work for ours.
