I replaced older carrying cases that were two separate parts.  The old one had a base that the lantern would sit on ( or attempt to sit on)  and then the top would be placed over the lantern and base.  The new clamshell style case is a wonderful improvement.  No need to have someone hold the lantern and then guide the top over the lantern and base.  It's getting 4 stars just as I don't know how durable the handle will be in the future.

Easy to use and access

Compact, functional, and works as advertised.  I would buy again. The only weak spot seems to be the latch, made of plastic, and not too sure how long it will last. There is enough space inside the case that a pocket could be provided for extra mantels and matches, but otherwise, case is a good buy.  I would buy it again.

just what I asked for to protect my lantern during traviling in my RV.

the case is very durable and light weight.

The lantern fits but to now have to put the base on the side.  The old case you out the base down and then the lantern on top not sure why the change.

It works but....

Doesn't fit the newer North Star lantern. The new North Star Elite has a square top and is slightly taller than this case.

Doesn't fit all Coleman lanterns
