The  chimney sweep kit went together well and worked great as far as cleaning my chimney goes. It did a great job cleaning the chimney and metal flue pipe from my wood furnace to my chimney. 
The gloves that came with the kit were a nice addition but are not suitable for the job. They keep your hands clean but because of the sticky coating on the palm, the spinning rods of the chimney sweep easily gets caught in that coating and binds up in the glove to the point where it's dangerous in my opinion. I had to put the gloves on backwards to let the rods spin in the non coated material of the gloves. 
The rods are very flexible and wobble considerably while cleaning the chimney especially after extending them. Not much can be done about that except slowing the spin rate down or stopping and starting frequently. It's a shame though as the spinning head needs to spin at a good rate to do a good job in getting into the corners if you have a rectangular chimney. 
I found the rods a little hard to disengage when taking them apart but a little WD-40 would have made that easier I'm sure.
All in all the kit did it's job very well and is ready to go for the next cleaning season.

This product works great but be cautious...  The button connection can release the connection in a stove pipe that is not completely vertical.  My suggestion is to take it slowly up cleaning all the way and when all the way up...stop...and bring the unit straight down and out.  Only clean on the way up...  Great to be able to clean without getting on the roof...much safer.!!!

Great kit works well does a good job this is my second kit I purchased the biggest kit but needed 2 more poles my only problem is they dont sell poles sepperately. the price of both kits is still cheaper than paying someone to clean my chimney once

Compared to a traditional wire sweep, this worked really well and it was easy to use. It surprised me!

Worked very well cleaning my chimney but somehow the rods came apart inside the chimney so after I got it back out I just duck taped all the connections and it worked great.

Chimney Sweeper

I have a very tough, 90 degree angle on my chimney cleanout and was uncertain if this chimney brush would do the trick but having read another review with a similar problem I decided to give it a try as the price was right. In the past I had to clean out from the top of the chimney on a steep roof, with a hard bristle brush and nonflex  fibre glass rods but with a new metal roof, in the winter I was reluctant to venture up. After waiting a couple of weeks for coast to coast delivery and some very cold winter nights, I put it to work and it did a.splendid  and very thorough cleaning job. Just make sure you cover your cleanout with a relatively airtight piece of plaster and duct tape as the creosote duat can be very fine and toxic!  And wear a dust mask and use the gloves provided! The only reason it doesn't get a five star is I've only used it once, so not certain about the durability of the weed eater style cleaning head. But from a mirror inspection afterwards it looks great and did a thorough job. 

P.s.the hardest part was submitting this review...

Very good quality. Easy to use and clean from inside which is important. We have a very steep pitched roof and climbing up is difficult in winter. Connectors are excellent and quite tough (that's a good thing) so I feel confident that they will stay together. My only issue is that this was the longest kit available and we needed two more sections so we had to buy two kits. It does give us a spare head though.
