I bought this collar to help reduce the barking in my home at the front door. I actually don't even put it on my dog because I have 4 dogs. If I know someone is coming to the door I turn it on. When they start to bark it goes off and they all stop barking. I love it!

Even works with 4 dogs!

This works for my very barking pug. Did not like the shock collars although there may be some dogs for which they're warranted. Kept forgetting to turn off the citronella collar so battery would go dead too quickly

I purchased this device recommend by a friend...it has changed our lives. My puppy is so calm and relaxed. We have workers in our home without this collar he would be barking and running around. While they worked drilling and making all kind of noises he's super chilled. Best thing I've bought since having our fur baby.

Excellent Device

I was cautiously optimistic when I ordered this.  I have a dachschund who loves to bark at everything!!  So after trying it for just a few days, her barking has dramatically improved.  She only barks a few times and then stops when she hears someone at the door or at the fence.  This little thing really works!  Try it; you may be surprised how well it works!

PetSafe products are always well made, fit well and work as expected. The bark collar is no exception. The battery compartment fastens securely. Indicator lights tell you that it's working.  The best thing, though, is the customer service. Great people at PetSmart help me provide the best life for my dogs.

I purchased this for my sister's dog. The problem she found is that her other dog was affected by the collar. He would avoid the dog with the collar and stopped eating. After she removed the collar, he became his normal self again. I would only recommend this in a one dog house.

Probably good if you only have one dog.

I bought this for a 7 month old Irish Setter that barks incessantly when left alone as in a fenced yard. There is no barking when she is with people. This collar did absolutely nothing. There is no indication in her behavior, such as a tilt of her head or a slight interruption of her behavior. There is no opportunity to try and reinforce behavior manually to mesh with the collars function as her barking ceases with someone's presence. In short, I see NO benefit from the collar.

I bought the ultrasonic collar specifically because I didn't want to shock my dog. Her one bad behavior is that she barks hysterically at my boarder, despite every remedy I've tried.

Initially, I thought I'd finally found the solution. The first day I tried the collar, she was completely freaked out. The crazy barking stopped virtually immediately, but she stuck to me like glue for the rest of the day and into the night. I found that the collar was sounding more than I wanted it to, e.g. when I coughed. So I turned it off, thinking to turn it back on when my boarder was due home. Well, that sort of worked, but a better answer would be the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the collar.

After a couple of days she learned that the noise was only annoying, and wasn't going to hurt her, and she has returned to the hysterical barking again.

So I'd have to say that this product is useless to me, and I wouldn't recommend it.
