Can hold charge for extended periods, but may lose capacity over time.

I didn't rate the battery life as I've not had it long, BUT it is really heavy and durable.  It charged up quickly, has a light attached if using in the dark.  My son LOVES it! He wants to switch mine for his EverReady (but it AIN'T gonna happen!)  The cable cords are a decent length.  Only downfall is that It didn't include an adapter which is not problem as I've ordered one.  I'm pretty happy with it!

I had park my Toyota Prius for almost seven month and when I tried to start it of course it was dead I had tried to start it with other type of chargers couldn't start it when I used the Stanley 1000 it start it in minutes.

Stanley 1000 Amp Peak jump starter.

This replaced a no-name similar product. It lasted a few years and the battery died. The batteries cost almost as much if not more than the product so keep that in mind.

The Stanley version is significantly better than my old one (mostly). The old one had 2 cig adapter plugins. This one only has one. The Stanley has a USB port to charge cell phones, phones and tablets. So that is a step up.

The little LED light is not much but really it is better than my old one because at least you can AIM this one. Plus the old no-name was incandescent.

The main thing I like about this one is the simple ON/OFF switch to use the battery jump start feature. My old one had a couple of momentary buttons to push to get it to work (sometimes). This Stanley has already had to jump a car which it did with no problem.

I use this also as emergency backup power. When severe storms are nearby this makes a great source of power to run our 12V TV from so we can watch the radar while we are in hiding.

So far this is a great product. Hope the battery lasts! :)

This is great, if you don't need the air compressor. You can use it for a memory saver, when you change out the battery, for full featured . It's strong enough to jump the vehicle also. Unlike a battery to use as a memory saver, just charge it up every 2 months, and it's ready when you need it

Great Jump Starter tool

Had to get one of these due to our camper van situation and it being an older van to boot. This thing has saved me countless calls to AAA and having to go get our other car in order to jump the van which is just the most inconvenient thing to have to do to use your vehicle. This bad boy brings a smile to my face every time we want to use the van because I know I don't have to do all that BS anymore! I did read that you should charge it once a month to keep it's longevity. I just try to do it on the 1st of every month to keep it simple.

A true lifesaver! Can't live without it!

Great battery jumper bc no wire plug needed

Awesome fast battery charger

Walmart had stated this was a Lithium-Ion in its details but, it is actually a lead battery. The difference between the 2 is how long the jump starter can sit and still be able to jump start a vehicle. A lead battery has to be re-charged every 1-2 months as it loses jump starting power over time.  A lithium-ion battery can sit for a year and still have almost a full charge to jump start a battery. Although I was disappointed about this, it is still a nice battery. The directions claim that you can leave it plugged into a drop cord that is plugged to an electrical outlet and it will not over-charge the battery and will be ready to jump start a vehicle when you need it.

Decent Battery, but not Lithium-ion

Big Zero Star. I normally just take the high roll, but I'm tired of ordering online and receiving damage products and having to purchase Gorilla Glue to fix stuff that suppose to be new. If the outer box looks good I expect everything inside to me intact. The pictures will explain everything.  I have taking my last few pennies to purchase my Dad a Stanley Jump Starter and my children a trampoline for Christmas. He couldn't wait to open it... he is like a kid in a Candy Store. His eyes lit up with excitement when he took off the first box and the next box had Stanley Jump Starter. Then he started cursing and saying that's why he like to go inside the store and look at what he is buying before he brings it home. The  Jump Starter was broken. I was hurt

Shipping vs Packer

ZERO STARS!  This product never worked once! My second picture shows the charger came with an 800 number to call if it did not work out of the box- which should have been my first clue! It did not work once- I tried charging it 5 times, each time following the instructions exactly. BAD PRODUCT WITH KNOWN DEFECTS!!!

When I got it I charged it up as the directions specified. Our farmall tractor had a dead battery. Tried to use the jump starter and it turned it over for about 4 seconds then died . Did not have enough power to continue. Use my truck to jump start the tractor
