I have this in my classroom of 4 & 5 year olds, the kids love it! I had to get a second for my 3 year old granddaughter, the product is sturdy, high quality brightly colored, perfect for a play kitchen...my granddaughter will have a ball pretending to cut her food like a "big girl"!

This was a gift for my three year old grandson. He loved using the wooden knife to "cut" although some of the pieces were so snug we used a butter knife to get them apart the first time. The Velcro seems to be holding up well. His 10 and 11 year old sibs thought it was fun too.

I'd recommend this set for 3 and up.

This item is made wonderful. I bought it as a gift for my Great-Grand daughter for Christmas, it's packaged wonderful, I wanted to play with it myself....but would have to take the covering off to do so...LOL!!! For any child 2 1/2 up,it's a great learning tool...Love their sets,and have ordered different ones for her....

When this present arrived in his mail, our two-year old grandson played with it for hours that day, and every day after it was always a part of his play day. His older cousins, both boys and girls, were equally entertained with the cutting food. Time for cutting fruit!

Melissa & Doug Fruit & Veggies:  The pieces were painted well.  Our three-year-old granddaughter absolutely loved cutting the wooden fruit and vegetables on the cutting board. She received the combo set for her birthday.  Really a great way to mimic Mom & Dad in the kitchen!

I bought this food cutting play set for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. She plays with it all the time and really keeps her entertained. I like it because it helps her develop her motor skills. The food sets are really sturdy and seem like they are going to last a long time.

Tons of fun

Bought for granddaughter. She especially loves using the knife to "cut" and to pretend to serve to others. Easy for her to put the pieces back together with their Velcro attachment. Sturdy construction! Wish there was a lid on the box so items would always stay in place when stored.

Play Knife and Velcro Pieces are great feature!

My little guy got this for Christmas, he is 3 years old and wants to help in the kitchen with everything. This gives him an opportunity to work on cutting skills safely. The only thing I would like to see different is maybe using magnets instead of Velcro to keep the pieces together.

perfect for a little chef.

My 3 and 5 yr old sons love this, but some of the velcro already does not stick back together, and its only been used a week, and is being used appropriately.  Still recommend because I'm sure I can fix those pieces even though that's a pain.

Fun but...

This item is high quality and will last a lifetime however parts of the items were not painted or stained, it was just raw wood which means that anything could soak into the wood creating it to look dirty quickly.  Luckily I had some tung oil that I put on the raw wood parts to protect the wood and it's not harmful for kids.  Mineral oil would also work.

High quality item with one exception

I was disappointed when the product arrived, because the cutting board piece was cracked and quickly broke in half. The rest of the pieces are great and very popular with my 2 year old nephew.

Loved by kids, but one piece arrived damaged.
