I was excited for this to arrive.
Due to a medical issue, I sleep almost upright in a recliner. The quality... well made, the controller is well made, the material is like a soft warm blanket and doesnt seperate from the pad. It's all in one NO POUCH.  I've tossed my flat pads that end up crumpled in a ball at my tailbone. This unit snaps around at the front solidly, it doesnt come loose. The unit heats my neck, shoulders and back all the way to my tailbone. I turn my furnace to 62 at night. If I get chilly in the middle of the night, its already in place. I'm so pleased, I'm buying 2 more, one for my husband and another for a friend for christmas.

The fact that this wraps around neck and shoulders is the reason why I bought this heating pad. And it's really helped me a lot already. It's easy to wear when I'm sitting at my desk. I was attempting to use a standard heating pad before I bought this Maxkare pad, and I had to use clothespins to hold it in place: and it was only helpful for doing one small area at a time. This covers everything that aches: back, neck, shoulders all get some heat therapy at the same time, which is awesome. I was surprised that it's so plushy: I've never had a heating pad that's so SOFT. And, I think it's weighted on the ends which helps hold it in place. This is the best thing I've bought for myself in a long time.

My wife was needing something to warm her sholders other than a blanket. It is soft, light and she loves the warmth it gives off. Getting older sucks, but the aches and pains can be helped. this works and will be buying 2 more for future use and myself.

Confortand relief.

This possibly the BEST heating pad I have ever owned. I was a nurse for almost 30 years and because of that I have a lot of back pain. In the past I have wrestled with a lot of heating pads and never found one that worked very good. I really like the weight of this across my shoulders and the belt on it too. I bought one for me and my mother. I love that it has a 2 hr shut off bc she has dementia and wouldn't remember to shut it off. Even on the low setting it provides a lot of comfort. I would recommend this to anyone who has back issues

The BEST!!!

Really great heating pad! The neckband is a big plus to ease neck pain or just warm you on a cold day! The long back is great to reach right down the entire spine, AND, the snaps at the neck and strings at the waist keep the pad in place as you move around! The hems around are weighted to keep the edges down in place!    THE BEST HEATING EVER!!!

This is the best heating pad I've owned/used in my 7 decades on the planet. It covers my entire back and shoulder areas, encircles my neck and stays put. The heat generated is outstanding and really helps get rid of the aches and pains in my lower back and shoulders. At the highest level, the heat is almost too much, a happy problem I've not encountered with other heating pads. More than once I've been lulled to sleep while sitting upright in my chair, heating pad turned to max. Fortunately, auto shutoff kept me safe. I'm really glad I purchased the MaxKare heating pad.

LOVE it !!

I've tried several different brands and this one is the longest length to cover more of you're total back, the heating levels you can actually tell the difference between each level, it has a 2 hour safety shut off that as of right now is working fine so if i fall asleep I dont get burned.  the only draw back i could say i found is the power switch for handicap people the power switch is remarkably easy to turn off and on it is just a slight pressure tap but that is also it's down fall as you can roll onto the switch and it comes back on. i have an older small dog and she has figured out how to push the button and then she lays on it until it gets cooler then she will either go lay somewhere else or she'll push the button for another round

this item is even usable by your dog

Love it! Second one I've bought. The first one lasted me quite a few years and it dying was more my fault than anything as it'd often get crunched up in my recliner couch. But I found reviews of similar on Amazon having enough negative reviews that I searched out the same one. The XL size is great!!! This new one heats up even warmer I think.

I have been using these neck heating pads for years. I never can find one that's got all the things I like, but with this one, its biggest benefit is that it's light weight. if the problems with your neck are bad enough, you know that lifting a heavy heating pad onto your neck is not going to be easy and could also do more damage. It does have a little bit in places it needs to weigh down but overall it's very easy to move around as needed.

The downside- When I first got it the temp was perfect for me, but I need mine to get really hot. 2 or 3 weeks in now though, and the temp is inconsistent. Some days it's perfect, sometimes the high temp feels like the low temp. I would suggest getting the warranty with it. These types of heating pads usually only last me a year, and that's with any brand, so a 2 year warranty is worth it. Overall though, this is one of the best heating pads Ive had, I'm just getting frustrated with the inconsistent temp

Good heating pad but consider the warranty add on

Although the neck %26 upper back area heat wrll, there is intermittent minimal heat from the waist down.  I was hoping it would help with lumbar pain, but it is  useless for that.

No heat in lower area

These heating pads only last about  6 months! It  worked amazingly at the beginning but in approximately month 5,  it stops heating! I have bought three heating pads, same brand with Walmart, giving the brand 3 opportunities and all 3 times it failed lasting only a few months.  Very disappointing !
