When I read the reviews raving about Chemex, I thought perhaps someone must be getting paid to review this thing. It couldn't be that good. But we needed a new coffee maker, so we gave it a try. It seems I owe these reviewers my most sincere apologies. They spoke truth. It made some of the best coffee ever. 
My only problem was the delivery. It arrived without cushioning. The only protection was on one side with two boxes of Mighty Leaf and a pound of Las Hermanas. Did the packers think it was plastic? The picture of how it arrived is below. Luckily it had not chipped. Seems pretty sturdy, and it makes dang good coffee.

The Chemex Pour over coffee make is easy to use.  You do have to be careful that you don't touch the glass when the coffee has just been made because it will be hot.  Sometimes I do miss having a handle on the carafe.  All things considered, I am pleased with my purchase.

This is my second Chemex - my first was purchased in the 1970’s and had a bit of an accident.  We tried other methods - French Press has always been a back up. But we decided to replace it and we are very glad.

I bought the Cheney 8 cup coffee maker recently and without a doubt this makes the best Peet’s coffee I’ve ever had. Making coffee in the morning has become such a relaxing and enjoyable experience now; if you are a coffee lover, this product is a must.

Love this coffeemaker! I’m a specialty coffee enthusiast (barista, manager, owner, roaster) and this is what I typically recommend for a great coffeemaker. We use every morning at my house.  Easy and simple way to enjoy coffee the way it was meant to be brewed. So much more sustainable too, so an absolute win!

Chemex pour-over makes the best coffee once you have the grasp of it. Know your coffee ratios; grind your beans; pour and wait for bloom — just a few considerations. Peet’s is the best for filters by far. I decided to return to Chemex many years ago as a memorial to a friend who died in 1996 of HIV/AIDS. Chemex was Tom’s favorite coffee method. Thank you!

Very aesthetic and love how the coffee looks while dripping and scrolling it around the glass is very clean. I don't like how the leather wears out and the finishing on the wood wears out when washing with dish washing soap nonetheless, I love using it almost every day.
