The Basket is the coolest feature of this Fry Daddy! I never knew I needed this but now I will not use one without it! This oil heats quickly and the temperature control is easy to use. Very clear setting. i love the PUSH labels. It is EASY! I highly recommend this product!

I love my cool daddy deep fryer

I can't rate durability as I haven't had it that long. Each time I use it though I am reinforced this was a good investment. I went online and found a french fry recipe where you cook them at a lower temp, allow them to cool, then cook them at a higher temp (Chef John's French Fries at allrecipes.com) and they are some of the best fries we've ever had. Some battered recipes it's better not to use the basket. But I'm really pleased with this appliance and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I spent quite some time looking for a deep fryer and I eventually turned to YouTube for some reviews.  This particular fryer kept coming up.  This IS the fryer!  It's amazing.  Super easy to put together and it's just me so it's perfect.  Honestly, it's perfect for a household of 2.  That being said, when I do have company this summer, that won't deter me from using it.  Cook times are quick and I really like the round basket.  Makes pouring out the food so much easier.  I have been in restaurant for over 20 years and this one fries like a champ.  Only thing is that you have to watch the timing of the food as this does not have a timer.  Other than that, highly recommend!

A must have fryer!

I have wanted one of these for awhile & I looked at several different models online. I love the size of this model & how it closes tightly & I can store the oil to use again the next day! The handle & basket is very safe & holds a lot at one time! I use it to make homemade hot wings! I wash/dry the wing drummets, place in the basket, fry until the flip over & are golden brown, only takes a few minutes, then let the basket rest on its ledge to drain, use tongs to take wings out, place on paper plates with paper towels, then place the fried wings into a soup pot with your favorite wing hot sauce!

Write a review, not me at all But ~~ this deep fryer is really the best I have purchase. You have to read the instructions for the best quality on how to cook the food. You want crispy: leave the Top Up!!!!. No mess, clean up is a breeze, fits neatly in counter top

Cool Daddy U Did It

I just got this fryer and have already used it three times--for French fries, chicken, and shrimp. I love everything about it! Would recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys fried foods like we do. For the lady who said it was supposed to be a six-quart fryer, I think she misread the information--it's a six-CUP fryer.

Great Product!

I have had large, almost professional style deep fryers and while they did a good job, they were messy, heavy, and difficult to clean. This fryer allows you to close the lid before the food is submerged in the oil, so very little splatter. The weight of the device, plus the weight of the oil is reasonable for moving it when done cooking. And because the frying chamber is removable, it is easy to clean. I think we are going to make beautiful dinners together :)

Not my first deep fryer, but my current favorite.

The fryer fries well but there is no indicator to tell you when the oil is hot enough nor an indicator to tell you when your fries are done. You are guessing.

In addition, there is a lot of stream coming from the vents at the top of the fryer during cooking that could be a problem for upper cabinets if used on counters but where else would you set it up?

Be forwarned

As soon as we opened the fryer it wouldnt close all the way. We then used it and when we took it apart to clean the lid still doesn't close witch is not what I would expect since the price is high. Stay away from this crap.
