This is our first Dyson product and so far we are very satisfied with it. Purchased about two weeks ago, it fulfills a very useful need, Having already a vacuum type sled very functional for our apartment the Dyson V8 Absolute becomes an essential complement for particular functions like the interior cleaning of our vehicle, cleaning of furniture like armchairs and sofa and others. The accessories included in this Dyson V8, very numerous and effective in cleaning make all the difference, the results are there to confirm. Obviously the fact that it is a wireless device with a battery life of about 40 minutes in full charge, makes it the ideal complement with a corded vacuum cleaner.

I have a rainbow vacuum cleaner, and I swear by it it has a water filter. No dust comes out of that thing.
However, It’s rather large and somewhat cumbersome, and it is a real pain in the neck to lug up and down the stairs. A girlfriend of mine was in the same predicament, so she bought a Dyson, for quick in between cleaning. She was very happy. So I purchased one too, for my house. 
ITS THE BEST. For quick cleaning I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. I smell no dust whatsoever when I’m using the Dyson V8. I have a three bedroom two-story house, and a quick run through for 10 minutes downstairs in the kitchen, living room and hallway in the evening, is all I need to be able to come down into a spotless house every morning
How wonderfully refreshing 
I have also found that I only need to bring out the rainbow vacuum, the heavy cumbersome one,  to do a deep clean, and now I do that every other week
And I have no dust in the house
A bit long-winded, but the result is, I love it
The attachments are pretty standard, but well worth having. The couch vacuum is very handy  
If there was any gripe whatsoever, it would be battery life. But let’s face it there’s never enough juice in those things  However, I have to say, what I need it for,  it’s fine.   In fact, more than enough
Nothing bad to say about the Dyson V8 at all

Really good

Am happy with my new Dyson but its taken a while to get used to the angle I have to use it on carpet as very difficult to push or pull in upright position so have to lean and use the vacuum at  lower angle even on the eco mode also disappointed that although two spaced on charging cradle for tools you cannot fit both in at same time 🤷‍♀️

Getting there

This is fantastic. Just got this after having the V6 Motorhead for about 10 years (it was also great, and only replaced the battery once). We have mostly wood or tile floors, but now we have more carpet and pet hair than we've had in the past, and the V8 Absolute has been wonderful. It's similar in feel/hold to the V6 but more maneuverable and significantly more power/ suction, especially on Flor tiles or carpet. Since our last one also had the button that you have to hold to keep on, we were used to that and isn't a problem. This model is Much easier to empty, and doesn't seem to struggle with hair getting caught around the roller. Assume we'll have this one for the next 10 years, as the quality is excellent and it has a much better battery/charging life than the last one we had. Great value and would highly recommend!

Had my “new” dyson for about a month now. It is as wonderful as my “old “ one that I wore slap out after 10 years!!! Thank you for consistently making great products!!

This is my third Dyson V8. I have dogs and have one carpet that grabs their hair !  The Dyson is the only vacuum that gets it clean , however the suction on this latest one is not as good as previous ones . And for transparency , I have had several because I I am a bit rough on the machines , using them in my car  and also in my garage .

Less suction than previous models

Best Hand held/stick vacuum I've ever had! It is powerful and sucks up everything my old stick would leave behind. The maneuverability is very helpful easily getting into spots I find hand to reach. I use it on the lowest setting, all hardwood floors, and works like a charm. The life of the battery, on low, is more than efficient for our small 1500sq ft house. Battery uses 1 to 2 levels of power by the time I'm finished. The only down thing I would say about the vacuum, referring to myself because i have arthritis in my hands, is the weight of the hand held part and, the fact that the red power lever has to be held on the entire time the vacuum is in use. I usually need to stop briefly to rest my hand and wrist. A power lever that stays on, once released after pressing on, would make this a 5 star vacuum to me.

Powerful, very easy to use!

Got my Dyson at a great price. Very good suction on low. It is more difficult to hoover when on high suction but I'm on oxygen so will struggle whatever setting. Great selection of tools. I've got the hoover on the charging bracket so the battery is always charged.

Great Hoover

I’ve been using V7 Dyson for almost 10 yrs.  The product is vey good and reliable. I just recently replaced it with V8. I was told by Dyson sales rep that I can use the accessories for V7 for V8. Unfortunately, that was not true. To make the matter worse, the V8 comes with only one accessory. Is this how Dyson deal with their cheaper version; Truly disappointing.

Missing Accessory

I purchased it 2weeks ago and the battery use time is poor quality. The packaging states 40 minutes of battery operation. On max power it dies after 10 minutes if I use minimum power it lasts between 15 to 2o minutes 1/2 of the time advertised on the box.
