The last time I had my carpets cleaned, I paid to have it professionally done. To say the least, I was disappointed. I first used the Big Green Machine at work and was very impressed. I decided I could do better than the professionals, so I bought the Big Green Machine. It did an amazing job cleaning my carpets. I even used the hand tool for the steps. The Big Green helps with pet dander for allergic family members to the family pet. Sometimes a company builds something where all the parts just come together and work better than intended. This is one of those times. For the first time in years of trying so much else, my fiancés eyes and skin were not affected after using the Big Green. It's got clunky, well made, simple parts that just fit together and feel made to last.

Finally a clean carpet

I previously had the Pet Revolution Pro Heat which I thought was a great carpet cleaner. Once it went down, I decided to move up to the Big Green Machine and I'm so thankful I did. As the saying goes, there's levels and this machine is on a completely different level. It cleans the carpets in a manner I couldn't imagine with my previous carpet cleaner. Worthwhile investment if you have a large home and want the absolute best results.

The machine does an excellent.  I receive my cleaner about two weeks ago, I have used it twice on my highest foot traffic areas. I have a lot of catching up to do.  My dirty water is still dark and muddy.  My carpets are showing signs of improvement.

Clean Gene's Dream

Bissel BIG GREEN Machine cleans the carpet as good or better than hiring most "professionals".  The only drawbacks are that it is a little difficult cleaning stairs...hard to get the water extracted adequately and the machine is heavy to carry when  the home has multiple levels.  Other than that, the machine is easy to operate, gets close to the walls, and appears to extract more  dirt than my rotary carpet scrubber.  This is probably much gentler on the carpeting as well.   I  thoroughly vacuum and do spot treatment before using the cleaner.  I am very pleased with the results.

BIG GREEN Carpet Cleaner did a great job

I love it. It does a very good clean. Easy to use. Not too heavy. A couple of wonky things, like the clip that holds the roll. Wheel is too easy to break. And the debris at least behind while you're vacuuming isn't easily picked up by the vacuum. But overall, it's a great tool in various efficient.

Great

It is very disappointing to see how much dirt was pulled up out of our rugs. I am sickened to see what the carpet cleaning was able to pull up. Unfortunately, we should have done this sooner. This carpet cleaner has revealed how dirty we are -not sure I like that ;)

Pig pen

I have an older upright Bissell that was used for over 20 years. I purchased the Big Green Machine to replace it and to upgrade. I have spent the last few days cleaning my wool carpeting and my white fabric couch. I am very pleased with the results and surprised at how much better the performance is compared to my older machine.

I used the Big Green on my carpet which is basically medium pile builder grade carpet..I also use the Unique brand shampoo in combination with the big green..Works wonderfully to renew carpet and bring common oil like that from foot traffic and a black lab..Works much better that the Pet revolution x2 machine from Bissell..

BIG Green Works

We replaced our previous Green Machine after 12 years. The new one is made in Malaysia instead of China, but it otherwise the same design. The lid on the dirty water collection tub is opaque and I wish it were still transparent, but that's the only difference I have found. I would have liked to have seen an update or two: (1) a quick release for the roller brush, (2) maybe a roller pad that can clean tile floors in addition to the brush, and (3) an on-off switch for the vacuum suction so that you can more easily pre-wet the carpet. Don't get me wrong... this is still a great machine.
