This is my favorite fan. I have purchased 'Vornado' fans and heaters for years now.
There is good air circulation with this fan. Also as a plus, it is easy to clean.

This is our second floor fan. (At 11+ years old, other one is still alive and well. We just needed another one.) I hope this one lasts as long! It's a superior product, so we noticed very minor improvements, like, the feet look real sturdy, and the stem screws have a square tip - not just plain ol' machine screws - to line up better. It's real quiet as fans go, and our old one is still pretty quiet, too.

Floor fan #2

Our ceiling fan in the bedroom wasn't moving enough air due to the short ceiling so my husband and I bought this fan to help cool off the room. It sends steady blast of air through the bedroom making our sleep experience much more enjoyable. The fan works just as described and we love it so far, we are wanting to buy another fan for the family room.

Love it!

I was glad to see the label on the box "Designed, Engineered, and Manufactured in the USA." Was happy to make an investment in this piece of engineering. Runs quietly, moves a huge volume of air. Wish all of your products bore the same label of manufacture.

Best reason of all

This is the best fan, but im on my 3rd in the past 10 years because the plastic parts that keep the grill on the fan break too easily.

Great updated design, same weakness to damage from drops or impact.

I've had Vornado fans for 20+ years. 
The quality of this new fan is not as good as the older models. Is a bit louder as well.

Somewhat disappointing

The stand isn't stable. It has a base and an extender and it doesn't come with any way to secure the pieces together. So if you pick up the fan the stand comes apart and the metal clangs on the floor. I love the fan but would never buy this model again. I recommend the shop model which I love.

Great fan, horrible stand

I agree with others wholeheartedly that the move to the 3-speed design was a step in the wrong direction. We bought our first Vornado quite a few years ago, when the variable speed dial was available, and it's still going strong: quiet and powerful -- we love it. The first one was so good that we bought a second one; we were very disappointed in the 3-speed dial, and from the beginning, the fan just wasn't as effective as the first one. We should have returned it, but alas -- first it became noisy, and now the motor has died. Too bad -- this was once a fabulous product, but we either got a lemon the second time around or Vornado's quality control is failing...

Used to be great; has gone downhill

My old variable speed fan finally bit the dust and this is the only similar product. I'm sorry to say but this is likely the last Vornado fan I will ever buy unless Vornado realizes that what made its fans sell was not kitchy fashion fans but excellent quality fans with quiet operation. The fan is noisier than my old fan and I have only three speeds to choose from and none are "just right". There you have it...it was improved when it wasn't broken and as the saying goes. Sub-par replacement

This was a good fan for about 2 years and then the motor bearings began to fail. One of mine has trouble starting because the bearings are freezing up. The other one rattles when the blades are spinning. Nobody makes anything that lasts anymore. Its a sad fact!
