At a price point lower than Lego's Speed Champions line, and boasting a cleaner car look (few, if any, studs are showing), I decided to give this a try. I was not disappointed. Many of the pieces were what you're familiar with from other brick brands, and some unique pieces were in the set as well. Pieces went together well, but didn't have the same ease of connection in all cases that Lego has....but it's close. The biggest draw, other than the attractive price point, is the inclusion of printed pieces. A sticker sheet is included, but is 100 percent optional to customize your car however you want. If you want a clean car, keep it clean. If you want a ton of stickers to make it a race car, you can. If you want to land somewhere in the middle, the choice is yours.  The instructions were easy to follow, and the inclusion of a regular Hot Wheels car of the same vehicle was a great touch. Also included is a metal plate that you can affix to the bottom of the car with the Hot Wheels emblem and the car name, making it look like a "big" Hot Wheels car. I really enjoyed the set, and am keeping my eyes out for additional cars that I'd like to build in the line. This isn't a threat to Speed Champions, but Lego should have this line on their radar, as it's got a lot to offer that they don't.

This was the second Mattel Brick Shop set I've built. Just as fun as the first. Easy to follow instructions with cool information about the car scattered through the instruction book. For a building set around 20 dollars you're guaranteed to have fun with this. The fact that it comes with a matching Hot Wheels diecast is just the cherry on top.

loved that it had the matching car in the package. great idea there. Great gift The whole idea of having the finished small car then add the model car/ building brick mix ingenious.

The Black Friday deal was awesome. I wasn't expecting to save this much money for this. Hopefully it'll be ready in a timely manner, but I'm happy with the purchase so far.

It's not a Lego but a good kit. Have purchased a couple of these and they've been quite enjoyable to build.
