Texture is great, not too hot, easy to adjust and it is perfect for using at desk compared to a different shape, arms are free and it has a lot of open space, and isn't too heavy or hot. If it does get too warm, I just open it up more or just peel off the sides and it can rest on the chair back/sides relatively easy.

The downside is disconnecting it and reconnecting it seems to require it to be replugged in which is an annoyance and the connector seems to be 4pin molex so I don't want to disconnect and reconnect it many times daily otherwise it might introduce some level of wear that I'd be suspicious of... but this is a decent connector, there could be worse, I'm just being conservative.

The best thing would be different colors like other alternatives but I'm very happy with this, bought 3 as gifts already.

I loved the blanket so much that I bought this poncho for my mom. She likes but it's really huge on her. You have to have it on in order to effectively feel the heat but I would highly recommend for all those cool nights outside next to the fire pit, but you need a plug near by.

Great Product

This shawl is amazing. This is probably the sixth one I've purchased. I've given them as gifts as well as kept a couple for myself. My daughter puts hers over her legs while she is at the computer. I lay mine on my bed and wrap myself up like the wings of Isis holding me while I sleep. I find the heat comforting whether it is in the day or night. Once the control started blinking and wouldn't work. Pure Relief had me film a short video and send it to them and they sent me a new shawl immediately.

I love this shawl.

My hubby has difficulty with body temperature due to a chronic illness. Throw blankets are effective warmers but really can only warm one side of the body. This shawl envelopes the body with warmth that no regular blanket or heated throw can match. It gives him the comfort of warmth that he can easily wear around the house when he gets up from the couch. As the "warm body" in our house, this shawl has been a lifesaver to me, not having to have the heat running too high!

Love how large it is to wrap yourself in warmth. It's EASY to put on and does not fall off - it stays in place.  My husband says it's awesome.  He's been using it to help him get over suffering from kidney stones. This wrap is the ONLY thing that brings him comfort

This shawl is the perfect overall heating spreaded over your entire body giving you relief from aches, pains and stress. This keeps you also warm in the cold winter times. You get so cozy that you can't help but fall asleep while wearing it. I love the auto shut off function so you don't have to worry about if you left it turned on or not. This shawl has such soft fabric and it's definitely got the plush feel. I also like that it has buttons to close it because it keeps it closed and keeps it from falling off your shoulders. This is the best shawl I've ever owned. You won't be disappointed if you buy it.

THE BEST SHAWL EVER INVENTED.

Very helpful when imobile for periods of time, like working at your desk. The with relaxes my back. Versatile to use as a blanket but not as wa as when worn. Drawback is it's heavy, bulky, and cannot disconnect the heat cord easily with it on as its in the back. Would be highly improved to have a portable battery to store in pocket to be able to move around without taking it off.

Heavy but comforting in cold house

This shawl works VERY well. Very hot on high and just right on warm. I live in a large home and to be ecological I keep the heat at 62 which can feel chilly. This has been a great solution to keep my arms free while working all day at my desk. HOWEVER, there is a cheap and nauseating plastic smell when the unit is on, this odor never seems to "burn off." It is on both models that I ordered from Pure Enrichment. As soon as it gets warm the smell is under my nose for the 6 to 8 hours of the work day. Like many car manufacturers Pure Enrichment would do well to smell their plastics with a focus group and rank them before setting a design into manufacturing. Odor matter, better yet being odor free is the best of all products. The constant stench makes me wonder what chemicals are volatiles into my nose and lungs. Hmmm....
