Requires little effort and optional tools for setup.

It was very mildly complicated to set up, (maybe 15 minutes?) but we eventually got it. It works great, and it's so simple to use once you have the hang of it. We've had it running in our room ever since and havent regretted it for a minute. Definitely worth the price we paid.

Great purchase

At first it was in a south facing window in my bedroom. Had to buy window adapter cos I have crank type windows and that is also the reason I couldn't have a window a/c which is what I wanted. Didn't work well, awning in the way and the heat from the window was hot, and too noisy for my bedroom even on low.  Thought I would return but at over 50 lbs not looking forward to that.  Moved everything to living room north facing window.  Much better and decided to keep. Keep in mind living room very cold set at 78F.  But walking to bathroom or bedroom 87F so yes it does have its limitations but having 100F days this summer I was happy to have this. It does need to be cleaned every couple weeks.  I use damp microfiber cloth and gently wipe the fins. This was the cheapest portable a/c unit I could find at 9,000 btu.

The Unit arrived on time and in good condition. It keeps my living room confortable. Its not really quiet, but I prefer comfort to quiet, so I'll turn the tv up. My only aggrivation is the exhaust hose connections. I take mine in and out of the window as needed and the hose does not stay in the couplings. If you are putting it in a window and not touching it you might be ok. But I got aggrivated wrestling them back in every time and used duct tape at both ends of the hose. Other than that it cools really well. I dont bother with the remote. And I wish they included some foam for the window slider like the Midea I have.

I believe the older model that I first originally got is the better one this new one actually kept breaking my breakers

I had it a few weeks and it is already not working. the fan motor is not blowing

Shipping delivered unit 1 day early. Came sealed up tight. Remote does not come with batteries. Tried in an cool environment, worked ok. Noticed the vents weren't open. Had to do this manually. No foam was included. Had to improvise.  Window pipe assembly was difficult to attach to rear plate. Kept coming off when unit was on.  Tried in environment over 95F, it worked for 2 minutes. Made a clucking sound and reduced to fan. Plugged and replugged. No cool air. Got frustrated. Read the manual. A/C DOES NOT WORK IF TEMPERATURES ARE TOO LOW OR HIGH. RECOMMENDED 44-95F. It's always over 95F where I live. Waited for temperatures to cool. Tried again. Unit did take some heat out the room. It was cooler.  Not that crisp cool I was looking for. Taking back. Good price bad product.

Does not work anymore. Just bought it a couple month's ago.

Based on the description and directions, the water bin is only supposed to fill on dehumidifier mode. Well I installed it, turned it on to cool mode and went into the room an hour later and it was shut off. I turned it back on and the red “full” light was blinking and it shut off. I hooked the tube up and drained the water out and same thing, an hour later it shut down.  Also it leaks water from the bottom of the unit, near the wheels, not from the plugged area.

fan quit after running 6 hours during a week. need to be returned.  wouldn't recommend this product to worst person .

Stopped working after two days!! Now I have to install my window AC back in with 98 degree heat....
