I'm planning on creating a collection of Tonka for my Grandson. I started with this classic Tonka Metal Edition for him for his 2nd birthday. He loves playing in the dirt and you can't beat Tonka for hours on end moving dirt around.

Tonka item..what can I say. Sturdy, colorful and bright, kids love them, well worth the money....large well-made toy. My grand-son plays with it in the sand, the dirt, the house, in the yard on the grass.. He loves it. He is 5 years old.  AND Walmart delivery was excellent..received in one day. Yes, one day. I did not need it that fast, but that is when it was delivered.

Tonka brand..cant deny it!

Gave this to my grandson  for Christmas.  Nice looking, it is steel and some hard plastic. He will love it when the weather warms up to use in the dirt.

Tonka has always had a reputation for well-made construction toys. I bought my young son as many as I could. My son and the neighbor kids enjoyed themselves for hours digging and moving earth. This one is for my grandson and my granddaughter! This is another fine-made Tonka toy.  Some of the metal has been replaced with rubber for safety.  The toy is beautiful; you can see how well-made the product is. I was very impressed and my grandboo boos were very happy! Thanks, Tonka!

Well-Made Toy!

Size is good. The front is plastic. My 4 year old son used this in playing in the mud and the caterpillar often taken off which made him angry. Other than that, this looks sturdy and after few times left outside with freezing weather, sunny and rainy day, i have not seen any rust and still working good.

Sturdy but need patience in caterpillar!

This  obviously isn't built as good as the old ones.  The actual push plow on the front is plastic instead of metal which was disappointing.  The tracks are a rubber type material, still not quite like the good old sturdy ones but I was surprised at how good they were.  Still a sturdy decent built toy, just not like they used to make them.  This one has a little more plastic on it as opposed to the metal, however for the price, I would say it is worth it.
