It's pretty heavy when it's full, but not as heavy as something like cast iron for example. The lid it comes with fits snuggly and I feel like it is also good quality. I like that the kid is see through so I can peek at how the food is doing without having to take the lid off. The quality is fantastic and I feel like this pot will outlive me. Lol. I would 100% buy this if you love to cook or have a large family!
