Before I get into why I am rating five stars, some info about my baby

-she has never been breastfed
-she had used Playtex ventaire standard neck with slow flow Y cut nipples since she was born
-she is three months old
-she is not able to eat with anything other than a slow flow nipple
-she has problems with gas and air

After accidentally stretching the hole on one of my baby's bottle nipples while washing it, I began searching online to buy some more. This led me to find out that her preferred bottle is discontinued and slow flow nipples for it are impossible to find. I needed a suitable, similar replacement - something plastic, at least six ounce capacity, designed to vent out extra air to help with tummy troubles, slow flow nipple, ergonomically shaped; preferably standard neck with small, Y cut nipple. 

We tried Doctor Brown's, Playtex ventaire wide neck, Nuby three stage, Munchkin latch, and Nuby 360 before we got to the tommee tippee. The two Nuby models with some at home modifying were close, but not as liked by her as her beloved ventaire standard neck. 

She kept staring at the tommee tippee while we stood in the store aisle and I tried to decide which bottles to buy next. It has a lot of good reviews and fit most of the things I was looking for, with the exception of the small, Y cut nipple.

My baby latched onto her new tommee tippee right away and quickly ate half of her six ounces. It's lightweight, but sturdy. The shape makes it easy for me to hold while I feed her, but a big plus is that the combination of the shape and weight also makes it easy for her to hold it herself while she eats. The stage one nipple lets out just the right amount of milk for her to eat comfortably. 

I wasn't sure about how thoroughly I would be able to clean a bottle that doesn't have a screw off bottom like the ventaire, but the wide neck of the bottle and width of the body make it easy to get the sponge tipped bottle brush in there and give it a good scrubbing. 

The vent in the nipple is big enough to let enough air escape so that she's not screaming in discomfort after she eats, but not so big that milk is spraying all over the place when I shake the bottle to mix up the powder and water.

The ounces are clearly marked in black lettering on the side, which makes it easy for me to measure the amount of water for her milk, and to keep track of how much she eats.

It is shorter and wider than a standard neck nine ounce bottle, but it is not so bulky that I have a problem fitting it in my purse that I use when I don't want to carry my diaper bag. 

If there was one thing I could change about it, it would be having a Y cut nipple instead of a round cut one. The bottle cap does help to minimize leaking if the bottle gets knocked over, but Y cut nipples have virtually no leaking. Ultimately, I want my baby to be happy and well fed, so I am more than willing to overlook that small detail since she likes this bottle so much.

We have a winner!!!

I have been using these these bottles since my son was one month old. The nipple is what caught my eye when shopping for bottles to put on my registry; simply because they were seemed the easiest to help the baby transition from a breast nipple to a bottle nipple. The first time I used the bottle my son latched on with no problem and had no problem with receiving the milk unlike some other bottles i tried (they would leak or he would choke from how the milk was coming out through the nipple). The quality of the bottle is great and I love the shape of the bottle, seems to hold more milk. I recommended the bottle to my cousin when I learned she was pregnant. This bottle is worth the money!!!!

Love this bottles for my 2 1/2 month baby. I own 12 bottles!! But recently I've noticed some nipples suck inwards. Maybe I got some defective one's ☹ but I love them overall.

Love the color variation

I really like using these bottles with my little one, who is three months now. She has used these bottles since she was born and still continues to use them. I could switch on and off from breast to bottle and she would take quickly without and problems because the nipple models after mom so it doesn't cause confusion. These bottles are a bit pricey but meet the requirements i had. They are super easy to clean and there are not a lot of pieces, making it easy for mom to wash. They are also very small and easy to hold, which can help your child to hold the bottle faster and it is easier for you to feed your child. each piece of these bottles are well designed and fit right into place. There is absolutely no leaking, which i love. The only complaint i have about the bottles, is that, depending on your child, the smallest nipple may be to large, but then you just need to buy the bottles with the straw. Other than that, these bottles are excellent and walmart has the best prices i can find for these bottles.

Excellent Bottles if Breastfeeding

This bottle is easy to clean and easy to prepare formula due to the wide opening and does not have a lot of small pieces to clean like other bottles. It is best for either a non-breast-fed newborn or an older baby, in our experience, due to the nipple being too wide for a newborn's tiny mouth to completely envelop. However, it is great for 3+ months. If not breastfeeding, no need to worry about the nipple width as the tip is easy for the baby to use and you don't need to worry about nipple confusion. When the milk gets low, the baby's head needs to be tilted back pretty far to get all the contents out. Our baby has fun hanging her head backwards, almost upside down, to get the last bit out. The large size is easy for baby to hold and the measurements are dark enough to easily read. There is also a sippy-cup-like handle that can be used with Tommee Tippee bottles that can make transitioning to a sippy cup easier and allow a different way to hold the bottle.

Easy To Clean

This product is no ideal for a newborn baby. I bought for my 2 wk old who is also nursing but am supplementing with formula. The nipple shape is perfect but drips if bottle is turned upside down, even with slowest flow, which causes too much milk to fill my baby's mouth and she chokes. Will go back to Philip Avent like I did with my first baby
