I finally decided to try this sketchbook. I purchased the 3 x 5 inch book. It easily fits in my purse. So far, I've used pencil, ink, water-soluble crayons, and even a light wash of watercolor. I was amazed that a paper of this light weight could handle ANY amount of wet media as it is intended for dry media. I will purchase this again.

My 13-year-old daughter really likes this little sketchbook. Originally I ask her about the size of it, and she said it is exactly the size she likes to decorate and sketch page by page – she's 13 years old and a very talented artist and I'm sure she knows exactly what she's talking about and what she needs so the size of your sketchbook is a personal preference. As far as the quality of the paper – her black-and-white sketches look fabulous, and they are not smearing at all. The paper is thick and does not tear. She is very happy with her sketchbook and plans to order more, so we definitely recommend this cute little book.

Cute and handy little sketchpad

The Simply HB-Sketchbook 4x6 by Daler-Rowney is a nice size for portability and convenience.  It has natural white paper suitable for drawing.  The paper is 65 lb. so probably not good for watercolor or markers.  It is not spiral bound, so it is not going to lay flat.  These do have a hard cover in black, which is what I wanted as I am going to decoupage a collage on the front and back of the journal to personalize it.  There are approximately 100 individual pages, so it has some thickness to it.  Depending on your interest, I think there is a lot of creative potential with these journals.

Solid portable sketchbook for writing or drawing

I enjoyed this for the 40th percentile of my designs that on bigger paper looks like 300%; easy to draw and sketch on; turned into a journal for a page or two; my shoes I design look fittable as oppose to bigger sketchbooks that elongate and biggify my creations;

The book is fine for what I need it for. It might not hold all types of paint. Pens, pencils and water colors are fine but markers might bleed through. The pages are a little loose so I wouldn't recommend getting it too wet.

I purchased the wrong size. It's way too small.

The reason for the low stars is I was buying them for kids to draw and I thought they were big sketch books. They are actually the size of a small love novel book.

The quality is good, but the size I guess it needs to be more announced or sayin the quality is good, but the size I guess it needs to be more more clear because I was thinking I was getting a bigger notebook paper to draw on and it was small and tiny so be more clear about the sizes

This size is extremely small not worth the original price at there asking for. Catch on clearance like I did but a simple hand held sketch book for on the go,plane, train ride etc

Pocket sketch book don't be fooled

they were for my grandkids but their going back I was looking at acid free and Page number it's tiny I just wanted simple sketch pads this is way too small
