I love Lodge products and these enamel are even better and prettier! They are great to cook in as they are so versatile, from stovetop to oven! They cook evenly and clean like a dream and don't need to be seasoned with every use.  I love it!

Lodge Cast Iron Enamel

Love this cooking pot. Cooks with even heat distribution (I have an electric cooktop), everything from stews to chicken picata comes out thick and robust. The lid fits tight so juices stay inside. Cleans easily. Great value that is very versatile. It is heavy, but that is what makes it so great. It should be stored with small rubber attachments so lid doesn't chip pot.

Lifetime cooking pot for a GREAT value

First, I love that this cookware is made in America. The quality is excellent and the price is very reasonable, a lot more affordable than LeCrueset. You need to remember not to use the pot on high temps but since I use this for soups, stews, and roasting in the oven, it's not a problem. It cleans easily and heats evenly.

Excellent value

Its my first time use this pot. I made soup, deep fry and stirred fried, it came out perfect. The soup was amazing, I already told my friend to get one. When cooking , only need to use medium to slow heat. The pot needs to take care, dont wash with cold water in hot pot, and dry the pot with stove, after washing . put on some oil spread on it. Its done and Really easy.

Easy to cook and take care!

Have had the 6-qt for 5 years and am extremely happy with it. Purchased the 7.5 qt but think the 6 qt is probably more than adequate considering the cost difference. Pros: use on top of the stove and in the oven, nice colors, pretty good seal when used as a dutch oven. Cons: heavy (as expected), take care not to use metal utensils because of interior scratches, wish top handle wasn't metal because it gets HOT.

Great product for the price

Delivery was quick and product was just as described. Color is great. Weight is heavy in a nice durable sense if the word but not too heavy. I have only used it once. My food came out excellent and only had to use flame on low setting. Clean up was a breeze. Great product even better for the price.

Awesome Dutch oven

In a side by side comparison the The Lodge's capacity is 6 qt vs Le Creuset  6-3/4 qt.  Lodges porcelain finish is not as smooth, it has more orange peel compared to Le Creuset  both inside and out.  Both have fairly large handles and I actually preferred the handles on the Lodge compared to the Le Creuset a little more room for larger hands.  Le Creuset had straighter sides  which added a little more cooking surface on the bottom of the pot compared to the Lodge which had a more curved side reducing the overall cooking surface slightly so you may have to sear more batches.  

The Lodge Dutch oven had a more domed lid compared to the Le Creuset which had a flatter lid. The Le Creuset gives you a little edge in overall height if your oven is tight on space.  As you can tell from my comparison it was more nit picking then anything else when comparing the two. 

 While the Lodge is not a Le Creuset in it's fit and finish it is also 5 times less expensive and performs just as well in my opinion.  

You can't go wrong with the Lodge porcelain enamel dutch oven.

Great value

It's very heavy to lift and maneuver. If you have arthritis, this pot would not be for you. Directions say not to use over high heat, which means you have to sear roast and brown vegetables in a skillet, then transfer to the pot (unless you ignore the directions like I did and just use medium heat). A pleasant surprise was how easy the enamel interior was to clean after 5 hours of cooking pot roast.  Directions also say to save the little rubber bumpers that come with the packing "for storage." Probably means the lid and/or rim tend to chip if banged together.  I have never had much luck with crockpot cooking for some reason, so for me this pot did the job well enough, browning tough meat and then braising it in the oven. The red finish is a very pretty color, not blue-blood red but a little more on the orange side.

Heavy, easy to clean, pretty color

Lodge makes a terrific cast iron, but this smaller Dutch oven is round on the bottom so not good for frying as I was hoping. It also seems to weigh almost the same as the 5-quart. I threw the box away, or I would return it.

Good for stews, not for frying

When the dutch oven arrived it looked like it had suffered a fall or had been knocked around because a large part of the enamel was chipping off. Be wary of ordering when Walmart packages a heavy (yet somewhat fragile) object in nothing but a cardboard box.
