Rice

Size

Can be light and fluffy, but also sticky and clumpy.

Ideal for small gatherings and various uses.

this rice cooker makes is so convenient, because you can make rice in the morning and eat it through out the the whole day because it can stay warm on that setting. the size of it, makes it such a space saver also on the kitchen counter !!! totally recommend this Panasonic model !

Did exactly what I expected it to do. Nice size and with instructions for proofing dough, making yogurt etc.

Cooked fluffy rice

Cooks the rice perfectly every time.  Simple to use.

Good Product

It is a good appliance with small footprint that fit in my little kitchen.  In case it can cook the rice in 30 mins instead of 1 hour, then it would be perfect.  By the way, it doesn't provide any timing information when cooking, so I don't know how long the rice will be ready for my dinner!

Small footprint rice cooker

It's a Professional rice cooker, simple, easy, its thicker inner pot make a better rice taste. The size is perfect for serving 1-3 persons. 

Only one thing I mind. It seems there's a bit of lack on the button of the lid but it works well.

Love the rice cooker

I like it very much.  The only thing I wish it could have is that the setting for oatmeal could go more than 55 minutes.
I like my steel cut oats, very soft and creamy. I wish I could set it for 1 hrs and 20 min.
It does not go well if you do 55 minutes first and then put it again for extra 25 minutes, because in the second time the rice cooker tries to make the fresh steam again for a new cycle, but at that point water is quite creamy to make steam, so as as a result the creamy texture goes up to the vent.
That's the only thing.
Otherwise this cooker does it's job very well.

Like it... but

When we opened the box this rice maker had black marks on the surface and it doesn't look new, this particular model takes 45 minutes to cook rice and compared to the normal 30 minutes. Panasonic is always our choice of rice cooker and this model seems cheap and not the usual Panasonic standard that we expected.

There are defective spots on the non-stick coating inside the pot.

Not good quality

The timing for cooking is inconsistent and much slower compare to other rice cooker. It does not automatically keep warm after cooking like the manual description. Even if you press the "warm" button, the indicator light does not turn on, so you cannot even tell if the rice cooker is keeping the rice warm. This rice cooker for some reason randomly turn off by itself, after pressing start! You have to keep watch of the rice cooker periodicially just to make sure. Was it preheating the bowl before actually start cooking the rice? Prehaps the material of bowl itself is too thick so the water takes much long to start heat up? Or the heater is not strong enoguh? This is something Pansonic needs to investigate.
