I purchased these originally about 5 or 6 years ago. After continued use, one of my bowls cracked, and it  lead me to buy anothwr set of the same item. I use these so often that it certainly doesn't hurt to have an extra here and there. when I wear these out; I'll be buying another set unless I want more sooner. They are.very handy to use to store food or to take food home from family events in. If you get they are returned, that's great! If not, they're affordable enough that you really don't mind.

While not being super expensive these large containers are great. The lids close well. The containers are thick enough to be durable in the dishwasher, yet light enough to store on a fridge shelf. The lids close well, and stay sealed. Excellent choice for storing larger amounts of food.

Durable and Dependable

These work great to travel with undressed salads for an entire meal or dry cereal or chips.  i use this size to cook soups in the microwave because they usually dont boil over. But, i wish these sealed and wouldnt spill. They are great for keeping the dry ingredients contained, but my oyster stew, not so much

Love these bowls!  They are good quality and I have never had one leak.  Great for sharing when you make soup, stew or chili.  And the price is low enough that if you don't get the bowl back, it wasn't your favorite one from Aunt Millie.  Buy them, you'll like them!

Wonderful for refrigerating and sharing

I've used these Rubbermaid storage containers for years now!  I use them for just about everything!  They stack well and hold up well.  I just throw mine in the dishwasher along with the lid and they come out fine.  No problems with the seals....ever.  For the price point, they are some of the best storage containers out there, in my opinion.

Used these for years and no complaints with them

These are great bowls. They seal nicely, they're nice sized medium to large bowls and even do well in the microwave. Of course, I wouldn't chance microwaving long or placing the lid on while in the microwave. These are the thinner plastic bowls that are convenient and easy to clean. I highly recommend .

Perfect Sized Bowls

Rubbermaid 6.2 cup containers held about 3.5 cups of sugar in a Ziploc bag . In my opinion, the lid security is slightly untrustworthy to put in the sugar without the bag, but you could, if you're a careful person who is not a little clutsy like me :-)

See...the thing is...our containers DISAPPEAR! Not the lids, usually. We some kinda way, hang on to those. But the containers themselves...ELUSIVE...I bet they're with all the missing socks?  Considering how quickly they  VANISH at our house, these were a great price point...in the event they fall victim to the phenomenon  and they're the perfect size for leftovers! Worth noting that, even with chilli or red gravy in them...they don't stain.

Perfect Solution Elusive Containers

The lids are thin, giving them 3 star only and I was feeling nice at the time. I wouldn't buy this brand again unless I was in a store and I could look at them better, these I bought online. I love the size, my hubby eats a salad in them, can you believe it. Not just for storing things but its a big bowl, you can eat out of... why knew?? The are clear and see through os if you do store thing in them you can see what it is. They have many uses other than storing food, think other things ,  like cotton balls, a tweens makeup, sewing things,a candy jar at work, the list goes on and on.

Not just for food

The Rubbermaid food safe containers are great overall. However... Keep in mind when we got them we washed them thoroughly. Even using a dishwasher which it did pass.

However, the bowl had a bad chemical taste that leeched into foods even after three washes. So my suggestion is to soak it with a mild detergent in warm water and wash. Once done dry with towel and let it air out.

I don't know if this was because it set in a section with chemicals but it was bad. In doing this it should hopefully be good. Overall though the product is great. Works in a microwave, good for leftovers as expected. Great for storing in fridge too.

Just keep in mind of the above as we didn't expect it to be that bad. So thoroughly soak it and dry it. Letting it air out for a bit. Happy Shopping.

They are not like they used to be. They break very easy. I tried pushing the lid on 2 bowl and they cracked. Cant eat food out of them if you have a fork it goes right through the bowl.
