Can be strong for everyday messes, but struggles with heavy-duty cleaning.

I have tried the dry mode and I think it is a very powerful VC. It comes only with one head type. For many that might be enough but I like at least one or two more including the corner head. i was lucky I did not throw the parts from my recently broken ShopVac, which fit well with this one. Overall, I am happy with the quality for the price. It comes with one bag so I ordered 3-4 more for future need.

Powerful little machine

It's perfect for what I needed. I wanted something small to vacuum out my vehicle and to do little things around the garage. All the attachments work great and really helped getting into hard to reach areas.

Would buy again!

Works well, this is our second one. Last one was about 10 years old

Perfect size and power. Very happy with purchase used for small areas on my shag rug and other rug.

The Little Vac that Could

Needed a new shop vacuum that was small and this one is the right size. We've not used it yet but when we turned it on the suction power seems appropriate for our use. The one issue is getting new bags for it Walmart doesn't seem to sell the ones for a 4 gallon unit so we'll have to go elsewhere to buy those.

Poor user manual quality. Reusable filter installation and cleaning is not clear explained.

Cord is ridiculously short!!!    It doesn't make sense. When designing, did they just run out of budget and decide, “ hey we have just enough $ for this amount of cord”. What's the point of wheels when it stays a couple feet from socket? Tips over easy when you run out of cord trying to stretch out to pick up mess.  They did give lots of tubes to add to hose but suction blocks after tipping and you have to shake to get it to suction again, something in the top moves and blocks airflow.  Could add a brush attachment.  But suctions great. Very light. Portable, good first shop vac for a mama on a budget

Decent little VAC but….

I bought this vacuum  last week on Black Friday 11-24-17 thinking at $20 would be a great time to buy one. I used it today for the first time and realized I paid $19.75 too much. I decided to buy a second vacuum this winter instead of lugging my Craftsman up and down the stairs to clean my 2 pellet stoves. When I turned it on for the first time before using I thought the suction was very weak so I opened it and made sure nothing was obstructing it's path. Everything looked fine so I began to use it. By the time I had the fly ash sucked up it had no suction left at all. I took my air hose and cleaned the filter off to finish the job. I can see I will need to go get another Craftsman this week. I thought the Stanley name would be a good product. At $20 I will put it in my garage and wait till someone needs to borrow my Craftsman again and offer it instead.
