Bought this for my granddaughter who is a little over 3 years old. When she first saw the packaging she was so excited. We then started to set it up she loved filling the tank with water and putting the plants in . Then it came time to put the fish in oh wow she was clapping and smiling and was able to feed her fish. Glad I bought it for her it turned out to be a great gift and a affordable gift.

my daughter has wanted her own pet for  while now, so after I carefully looked at all of our options I decided on this, the Little Live Pets, Lil' Dippers Playset, featuring the Unicorn sea Fish. She absolutely loves it. And I love that I don't have to perform water changes, and maintain the water and ecosystem for her "pet fish" to continue to thrive and survive. This is an excellent idea and choice for any child whom is new to the respo abilities of caring for a pet, as well as a well built mechanical replication of a real live fish, with fun vibrant color options.

This fish tank is awesome and super easy to use. It came with 1 fish, so i decided to by 2 more. Its has enough room for 3 fishes  but i wouldn't add a fourth because they wont have much room to swim. U can feed them from the outside glass of the tank.But my daughter loves to feed them by sticking her hands in the tank.
They are battery operated and will shout down after 10 min. To reactivate the fish all u gotta do is take it out the water and put it back in.

Perfect gift

Super cute! They're rubbery and feel like a real fish. Looking at pics i expected a hard plastic.  Read the instructions! Lol the fish stop swimming after 10minutes but they're easy to restart. My girls love playing with them in the tub! I'd buy again but it made me realize how much I'd prefer to just get a real beta. I have to change the water frequently anyways, might as well have something in there that swims all the time.

My 5 year old daughter loves it. And that's all I'm really concerned about. Short battery life though.

The fish stopped working immediately after 2 hours. wasn't as fun as it says on the box. still pretty to look at but its obviously malfunctioning.

Stopped wiggling

My daughter had this fish for not even a month. We played with it in her little aquarium, and allowed it to dry between playing. When it stopped moving I went to replace the batteries of a WATER friendly toy, and orange corrosion seeped out of the battery compartment and all over my hand. I'm sure it had been on her hands, too! Furious!

Do not recommend. I had to put the tank away because my child wanted to play in the water and swirl the fish around, which made a mess. We ended up letting her have the fish in the bathtub at bath time though.

Not top makes it a spill waiting to happen for a younger child. Older children (ages 6,8) got bored quickly with it. Doesn't swim well at all! Plants that come with it just get in the way too.
