I needed a way to solve connection issues in my home. The dual band system solved my issues. Now we both can take Zoom calls without the fear that our connection won't work.

I wish the mobile app had the ability to configure port forwarding and static IPs.  Wish it had an extra 2 Ethernet ports on each mesh point.  Also wish you could isolate IOT devices onto their own network.

Otherwise, it works as expected...nice even coverage across 3 floors of a house.  And it doesn't need a reboot every week like the old Asus router.

Nice even coverage

This was a replacement for an existing unit supplied by our internet provider.  The existing router did not reach a new detached garage.  The Nighthawk mesh system corrected the dead spot issue in the detached garage but we did end up with a dead spot at the other end of the house which will require an additional satellite.  I would have rated 5 stars with the exception of having to add an additional satellite.

Needed an additional satellite

It has definitely extended my wifi as I now get better wifi outside the house. But , I haven't seen the speed increase alot of other people say they get. I have a 1200mb or 1.2g plan. In the room where the router is, I get fast speeds. But where the satellite is , I went from 100-120 , to 200. At 1st there were some issues with it dropping signal, but that seems to have gone away.  Overall not bad.

Extended wifi coverage

My R7000 was getting old and failing daily. Replaced with the mk62 and couldn't be happier. Solid speed, easy setup and great range. Only took off one star because the web interface is really ugly and hard to use (the r7000 was much easier and cleaner).

Great option for the price

We were dealing with a troublesome conjunction of massive reinforced concrete walls dividing our apartment in to isolated corners. The AX1800 helped considerably with the 2-Pack, but is much more improved with another satellite.

Reaching the far corners

The satilite router cut out occasionally, cutting out half of our Wi-Fi devices during working hours.This is not what we expected for the price we paid. 

We previously had the Google wi-fi system and one of the nodes went bad, so we thought this would be a good replacement. Instead we immediately noticed that our cell phones were slower than they were on our broken Google system.

The good news is is that this was the easiest router to set up.

This was a bit better than our broken system, but we returned it. Our house is not prone to dead zones and it is small, so with a limited budget we got a high quality traditional router rather than this crappy mesh system.

Bottom-barrel mesh system

Seems to mostly work, but a computer that had previously been rock solid has had flaky internet access since switching. This computer uses a Netgear USB WiFi adapter that has worked flawlessly with two other non-Netgear routers. Kind of annoying.

I am having trouble connecting the mesh system. It's telling me I need to allow access to local network, but it never prompted me to, and I tried redownloading the app but nothing works. I see that the network name for Netgear is NETGEAR95, but it won't allow me to connect to it.

GLITCH IN APP!!!

The first thing this system did was require a reboot 30 minutes after I set it up. The second thing it did, was require a second reboot the next day.  The third thing it did was kick everything off the system twice a day for two days in a row.  

Now what it does is some of the above PLUS it provides FASTER speeds (like 100Mbps faster) 25 feet away from the main router as opposed to being 6 feet from the router in the SAME room.  This is with no electronic equipment on.  

Speaking to tech support didn't work.  The guy told me he didn't have an answer for the faster speeds 25 feet AWAY from the unit as opposed to 6 feet away.  We changed channels but that hasn't helped with any of the speed issues.  I live in a 2500 sq ft house.

My satellite is 30 feet away, down a hall.  It loses 60Mbps from the get go.  My office is on the other side of a thin wall, 10 feet away form the satellite, where I loose another 40Mbps.

Unless Netgear's customer support comes up with a miracle solution (which they did NOT after I spent an hour on the phone with them), I'm gonna return this thing to Best Buy.
