Bought for the son for camping trips. works really well and is a bonus for making breakfast and fried potatoes when away from home. We used it a lot and it is very well made and cooks evenly and got the job done. I definitely recommend it to anyone even for home it is a nice addition to any kitchen.

I love it! It's just my husband and I and I don't have to take my noodle board off my stove top it works great! my Spanish rice turns out amain this skillet!

It arrived well packaged. Is easy to use and store. Well made. I love the way that the cord releases at the squeeze of a trigger, instead of having to pull from the pan.  I highly recommend this pan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because it's a super practical product, it saves me a lot of time, and it doesn't make a big mess in the kitchen.  It's the second one I've bought, the first one for me, and the second one for my son.  Happy!

It cooks EXTREMELY good and EVEN! I have cooked chicken and steak and the steak wasn't overcooked and the chicken was done and juicy!! I have sautéed peppers and onions as well and it was perfect!!! I bought this to save on gas in my gas stove and it is PERFECT!!!!!!

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

It works well. The only thing I didn't like is it had an odd smell when using it the first time. I did notice some coating or paint or whatever it was right on the heating coil so that's probably why. It heats up quickly and cooks like it should. Well worth the twenty dollars.

The skillet is light weight, nonstick and very easy to clean but it could definitely be improved.  I cook most meals in it as it is more convenient than using the range.  The thermostat however does not hold food at a consistent temperature.  It heats up (at times getting too hot) and then shuts down so that I have to turn the thermostat up slightly to force it to begin heating again. This might work for simmering but for frying it is very inconsistent.   The lid also does not fit tightly, there are slight gaps so the vent in the lid is completely unnecessary.   I would definitely invest in a more expensive brand hoping for a more efficient thermostat.

Pro: It's good to have around for emergencies like when your new stove starts melting your cabinets %26 the  maintenance repair guy is booked for a month. 
Cons: It has sharp edges, the painted finish flakes off just from wiping it down with a damp paper towel. The manual has what temperature you use for everything except veggies and that's what I cook the most. 
I hope after my stove is fixed or replaced, I will never need to use it again.

It works in a pinch

have used this regularly since I receved it a few months ago. Today, plugged it in and   the adapter caught fire where it plugs into the skillet. We smelled smoke and immediately unplugged it, turned it over and could see the black marks where the fire occurred. We live full time on an RV so this couldd have been disastrous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The product "Mainstays 12" Round Nonstick Electric Skillet with Glass Cover" is excellent!

It heats up fast.
It is easy to adjust the required temperature.
Food can be cooked on the skillet with minimal amounts of oil and the glass cover provides very good visibility into the status of the food being cooked.
Overall, a great product!

Now for the delivery:

I opted to get this delivered from Walmart at my residence. This is where I will award Zero (0) marks to Walmart. The reason:

The product was delivered elsewhere!

Walmart provides live tracking of the consignment. Using the live tracking, I could follow the consignment to delivery and that's how I could locate where and when my Skillet was delivered! And yes, I walked all over to that place and picked it up! (Fortunately, it was not stolen or picked up by someone else in the meanwhile).

Walmart also provides an option to call the driver.  Using this option, I called the driver 2-3 times so I could guide the delivery to my address. The driver just did not bother to pick up the call (it was clearly ringing!) anytime, and, neither had the courtesy to call back.

Conclusion:

No issues with the product.
But a complete mess with the delivery!

My Learnings:

Buy from Walmart, but be very cautious if you want to get it delivered at your doorstep - there is no guarantee it will reach you!

My rating:

For the Product: 5 Stars.
For the delivery: Zero.
