Bike's materials and construction meet expectations for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Huffy 24” Rock Creek Mountain Bike in purple, and I'm very happy with it! It's perfect for my height (I'm around 5'4”), and the ride feels smooth and comfortable. I love the color — it's bright and stylish.  The bike works great both on pavement and light trails. The gears shift easily, and the seat is soft enough for longer rides. It was also easy to assemble with the instructions.  Overall, it's a great bike for casual riding and short adventures. I would definitely recommend it for women who want a reliable and affordable mountain bike!

Perfect bike for a teen girl!! The size is great! We thought it might be time for an adult size bike but I'm glad we went with this one because it will work for at least 2 years. The seat moves up and down quite a bit making sizing great for anyone between 13 and 15

I love this bike. It is so cute and the only reason I gave it four stars is because it wasn't very instructional. The reason I say that is because the instructions wasn't very clear and it didn't come with screws. Overall, I think that it is certainly a great product and I definitely recommend it to others. Just be sure to know what you're doing. Putting together most of the parts were quite easy while others were more difficult and confusing. I had to adjust the brakes a lot, and that took a long time. Putting it together is quite time-consuming so if you're patient — this is the right purchase for you. The color of the product is very pretty and I can't wait to decorate. I can say that it looks exactly like the picture. All in all this is not a bad purchase and I don't regret buying. For next time, provide better instructions or more detailed information in the manual.

two-person job, make sure you know what your doing

Very good value for money for a starter bike. It's great for casual neighborhood riding. However, it's not designed for regular trail riding. It can handle a few trail rides occasionally, but it's not built for frequent off-road use.

If you're looking for an affordable bike to ride around the neighborhood and already expect to upgrade in 2–3 years, this is a great option.

The assembly instructions included with the bike are not very helpful. I recommend following a YouTube video instead, which makes the setup much easier.

The gears and tires appear to be good quality for the price.

Great value for money.

The bike was assembled when purchased. Apparently it was poorly assembled as the first time my daughter changed the gears while riding the chain fell off. It took 1.5-2 hours of my dad utilizing the manual and adjusting all of the gear pieces to get it functioning correctly.

Poor assembly

Bike came with a dent(I had it shipped) to where I could not properly assemble it because I could not insert the handlebars in the hole without using external tools not previously required. otherwise, the brakes pedals and size are good, they work with my height and I like the color. It's sturdy and will not break easily.

I love the color and overall tofu t however the description is NOT ACCURATE! It listed that the product is suitable for a heights 4'8” to 5'8”; I'm 5'3” and the bike is WAY too small. While pedaling I feel like my knees go into my chest and I would not recommend this bike for anyone over 5'0” to be able to comfortably ride it.

Description not accurate for height

Tire innertube was flat!  This was a Christmas gift, and luckily, we were assembling it ahead of time so we found out the rear inner tire tube wouldn't hold air. So we purchased a patch kit, but even with the patch, apparently there were other problems with the innertube and it didn't work. Had to buy another inner tube in order to give us as a gift. Seriously, when a patch kit can't fix the problem, there is real quality control issues. Also, one of the brake cables had to be adjusted in order for it to work correctly. Too many problems. Don't recommend purchase in this item as a gift.

Cheaply built. You get what you pay for but this bike is horrible and unsafe. The chain falls off when you shift gears forcing you to stop and get off of the bike to fix it. The gears are also hard to change. Riding it feels like the toughest work out of your life, even on the easiest gears because of how low the quality is it requires you to pedal harder.

Spend a little more and get a better bike

Dangerous! Screws are not able to be tightened with standard screwdrivers. The plastic on the handlebars that holds the gear shifters slides and can result in brake usage being delayed and or distraction. I had to tighten screws with an adjustable wrench, since no standard screwdrivers fit.  This bike should be recalled if screwdrivers that fit aren't included with purchase.
