[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Core Tritan Autospout 40 oz Sake by Contigo is the best for water hydration on the go!  No need for a bunch of flimsy plastic bottles. A simple touch of the button and my thirst is quenched.  The spout even locks so no spilling.  The convenient handle on the top makes for easy carrying or clipping a carabiner too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice water bottle it's my favorite one now. It holds 40 ounces of water or whatever beverage you'd like. That's a good amount for me to last a bit without it being to big and heavy. You just press a button on the lid and an auto spout pops you for you to sip and drink. You don't have to tilt it to drink just it has a straw for you. It also has a handle you can move up and down to hold or add a clip to. Its nice and shiny and has a gray color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this water bottle from Contigo. It is oversized compared to my previous water bottle which was only half the size. Even though it's a larger capacity bottle, the design is still narrow enough to be functional and tapers at the top for easier gripping. The material of the bottle is sturdy as well. The spout makes it easy to drink from and the straw can be detached for easy cleaning. I also like the locking mechanism so you can close the spout and keep it protected as well as prevent unintended openings. The small handle is useful for attaching to a bag and I like that it folds down completely to be out of the way when it's not needed.

I'm so mad because I purchased this water bottle for work and the straw has mold in it…I've never had a water bottle with that type of problem and all I put in it is water everyday for work

I liked it a lot, but part of the spout split and I cannot find a replacement, so the entire bottle is useless

Contigo Consumer Care 

I had purchased 3 of the previous version.  I was devistated when I accidently left one on a bus bench.  I had no choice but to replace it with this version.  I am SO dissapointed.  They removed the clip from the top, which I used all the time, but wasn't a deal breaker.  

The deal breaker for me is the new straw.  It is HORRIBLE.  In the previous version the straw screwed directly to the lid. The straw was long enough to get almost every drop out of the bottle.

The new straw is so short it isn't close to getting everything out of the bottle. It also pushes into the lid via a silicone receiver.  I tried putting the straw in low enough that it would get all the liquid out of the bottle.  When you do that you loose suction because the receiver flares out.  You have no choice but to push it all the way in to get full suction.  Over time gravity lowers the straw in the receiver and you lose suction again. You have to open it up just to push the straw into place.  I've had this bottle for a little over a year and last night when I pushed the straw back into place there was still a loss of suction. The straw no longer fits tightly into the silicone receiver.

Yes, it does still have the same "spurting" problem as the previous version, but it is just as easily worked around with this bottle as it was with the last. It is caused because the bottle is air tight and pressure builds up as the bottle warms up. All you have to do is twist the cap just enough to break the seal. That's it. Now you can flip the spout up with no spurt.  Easy Peasy and doesn't effect my rating of this product in anyway because I would  that the bottle is that air tight.

Such a disappontment

I had the previous generation of this water bottle for years but it had seen better days so I decided to replace it.  I bought this water bottle about 4 months ago and its leaked since day one if I lay it down a certain way, I can get past that but then just randomly when you pop open the top it will spew water all over the place including me.  I learned never to hold it close or towards me when I open it. However now I can't suck up any water through the straw so now its trash, I never had this problem with my old one

Don't bother

Edit: Reposting this since Contigo decided to delete this review the first time (for obvious reasons, it's not a good product)

I have to admit when I first saw this water bottle it seemed great, then later on I started noticing issues: the first one being that if the bottle hasn't been resting right side up, when you go to take a drink the autospout will spurt water everywhere. Another issue is that there must be a leak somewhere in the lid that keeps sucking in air which prevents you from taking a full swig and its very annoying. Then there's the issue of the straw length: it reaches nearly right down to the bottom of the bottle, which was understandably designed to maximize the amount of water you can drink from the bottle, but the problem with this is that often the straw will directly touch the bottom making it impossible to suck any water from it. As another reviewer mentioned, there are nooks and crannies in the lid that are hard to clean. Just a disappointing water bottle overall. Simpler is better and this has too many bits and parts that will inevitably fail and render the bottle useless.

Not as good as it seems
