My son had a total blast with this the other night, it's so fun to take camping or just in the yard in the evening time.  It's one of those things that actually looks as cool as advertised. It comes with 5,000 gel pellets that will last us a long time. You just soak them in water and you're good to go. They need to be well hydrated to shoot out well or it can jam up I read.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son LOVED this! He's 12 and loves doing battles with his friends. I like that he can run around outside having fun. I also appreciate the safety glasses and bright colors. Good size, effective but not too big. A little pricey but still a good buy, plus at least it came with the ammo. Only bad thing is he says the battery in the handle heats up a little after shooting for a while. I'll have to double check on that, but he absolutely   loves it.

The pellets need to soak in water to become squishy like orbeezs, so make them ahead of time.

Even though they are fun for sensory play too, when they are coming out of the blaster they can really hurt so do not shoot at each other.  It would be cool if they sold vests like in paintball!  They do come with protective glasses though.

Good to do outside so you don't have to clean up. 

You can also buy refill bullets, but it does make more than you think!

These are the best safe alternative! Them being glow in the dark makes it all the more fun. We haven't had to buy a refill yet either. They seem to last forever!
