I was nervous with it being a different shape as my other one to not hold as much but it's perfect and just what I was looking for. The lid opens and closes much more quietly than the one i previously had so that's a plus. Keeps odors in and is very functional. Definitely recommend for the price

This 13 gal kitchen trash can is a cost effective way to have motion sense access, which is very handy when you hands are full. It looks good, works well and is very easy to put into use. One point of thought is to make sure you have a 4 AA batteries for it. I ordered a pack of 8 with my purchase.

You will be glad you did...

These are SO HARD to put together. The directions say “don’t worry” yeah, ok. lol. Putting these together was the most infuriating thing I’ve done in the last 12 months. They look great, they seem sturdy, but I don’t know why they made them this way. They’re hard to get to stay together. They look great, seem decently sturdy, and are big enough they’ll hold two pairs of my shoes. Happy with them, but they have to come up with a different model that actually goes together easier.

Great but HARD TO ASSEMBLE.

We are now completely spoiled by this automatic trash can!  Excellent size for the kitchen.  It is so nice to have it open automatically to throw items away without touching the lid.  Works perfectly.  The price was excellent, the black exterior is sleek and is easy to clean.  It has even foiled our clever Springer Spaniel from rummaging through the garbage.   Highly recommended!!

Outstanding automatic trash can!!!!

Love this can! In order for the kids to open the lid they have to throw away a piece of garbage! Lots of garbage being picked up. LOL
The lid stays open long enough to get in garbage/empty the dust pan or the sink strainer without feeling hurried. The extended open feature is not only occasionally necessary, but also so helpful! Very happy with the cost and effectiveness of this garbage can. We’ve had it for a couple weeks now (excessive use) and have not had to change the batteries yet.

Excellent for house with kids and/or curious pets!

Mechanical trash cans just aren't my thing... not big on robots either.  Kind of more fashion than helpful.  This just happens to have the right dimensions for my cabinet, which is tough to find.  Other than that, it works fine, just takes a bit more time than a swinging lid.

It fits and it works.  Nuff said!

We have had this trash can for a couple weeks and so far it performs pretty well. Once in a while the lid stays up in the air and there is a button on the right side I press to make it go down. I had a stainless steel Mainstays auto trash can for years till it died a couple weeks ago and liked that one too.

I bought one and three days later went away with my hand over it for the lid to open and it wouldn't work anymore put new batteries in it thinking the old ones failed nothing took it back went and got a nine star paid $15 more for this one much better love it

This worked for 1 week. I thought it was the batteries, but I changed them out, nope. Just doesn’t come open and there is no other way so now, you have to stick your nail into the side and pry it open. I got it for my salon so we could open hands free. Awful. Such a waste of money bc it’s barely even useful now.
