This is a multi function pot. I have used All Clad for years and it is still effective. I do not put it in the dishwasher secondary to residual residue on outside of pot. It does not effect cooking process just the appearance. A little pricey for pasta pot but it depends on what one likes.

Great cookware

All-Clad makes a great product. My wife and I have a number of products from the company which we use very frequently. This 7 quart fits a notch in pots we needed filled, and it has met our needs in a perfect manner.

Our new 7 quart pot

This new 7 quart soup pot from All-Clad is amazing. Entire bottom of pot contacts my ceramic stove surface. This allows meals to cook quickly & thoroughly, with very little oil.
I recommend these high quality products from All-Clad Metal Crafters.

Amazing cookware from All-Clad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy this multi-pot.  We've cooked a variety of different foods in it so far.  For example, we've cooked pasta, pasta sauce and meatballs, steamed vegetables, and steamed crab legs as well.  The pot is deep and makes it ideal for cooking longer foods like asparagus and crab legs.

The insert can be used as a colander, which is extremely helpful.  Moreover, the set is very easy to clean.  Pieces of burnt pasta sauce and meatballs came off easily with some hot water and detergent.  I've also run the set through the dishwasher a few times and it hasn't rusted either.  

Overall, this is a great size for a family, and a wonderful all-purpose pot that is easy to clean.  I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately this didn't work on my induction cooktop. My bad, didn't read carefully.
