The strainer itself seems to work very well. however the feed tube on the grinder attachment that you connect the strainer onto is very small. therefore larger vegetables such as tomatoes must be cut up into quite small pieces in order to process them.

I don't can a large amount of tomatoes at once, so this is compact and easy to use and does the job very well

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought it mostly to process tomatoes. It did a fantastic job of separating the pulp from the seeds and peels. I can't wait to try other produce.

Great Quality

Kitchen Aid

Works pretty well. I ran my tomatoes through the Ninja and then the through this. Have to do it at least three times to get all the pulp out. It's a little messy but it works.

I preserve hundreds of jars of food every year, and I generally really like this attachment, with one [growing] annoyance: the spout is directed back toward the machine, and the length of the spout is such that it's REALLY hard to find a bowl that fits under it. 
The spout is too short to direct liquids back into the seated mixer bowl, and too long to fit a flat-bottomed pot under it. The base of the machine stops any straight-sided container from being able to fit. The spout lands in the 2-inch gap between either option being viable, and it's a colossal pain in the neck.

As a result, the only options are to (1) put a smaller bowl with a curved bottom under the spout and create a huge mess as sauce splashes down into it, or (2) jimmy rig a spout of aluminum foil that extends the sauce attachment's reach into the seated mixer bowl.

The inconvenience of finding solutions sometimes keeps me from preserving, if I'm being totally transparent. 

If anyone from product development sees this comment, this is my solution (read: plea) -
Build out two spout options. One that directs sauce to the side (away from the user), where we can place a pot we're using to boil down the sauce. The other that extends back toward a seated/secured mixing bowl, where I have the rest of the sauce ingredients and don't have to worry about the bowl tipping over.

I really want to stay loyal to Kitchenaid. I have fond memories using your machines in kitchens long gone quiet, and I appreciate your history of high-quality products. Unfortunately, it seems there is a break in communication between the design team and the end user.

Good, but could be better

I purchased this specifically to juice berries for making jelly.  Also bought the grinder that is needed to have all the parts.  I thought this product would make for an easier and less messy replacement for my Squeezo machine.  I see lots of positive reviews here using this to process tomatoes, and I assume it would work fine for that.  However, for processing berries it is a fail.  I tried it with raspberries and I ended up with a ton of seeds and pulp in my juice, requiring me to strain everything a second time using a hand held sieve.  It also leaked a lot of juice at the seam where the top feeder bowl attaches to the main housing - very messy.  I think if they offered a finer mesh screen cone it would work OK (except for the leak at the seam).  Overall though I am disappointed with this product.

Doesn't work well for juicing berries

Thought I bought the whole thing less the mixer but I was sure wrong

Did not fit the older model mixer, same brand

Was delivered ahead of schedule which was a nice surprise.  Was packaged nicely and arrived undamaged.   I purchased the Kichen Aid  Fruit and Vegetable Strainer to make  Raspberry and other fruit Jelly and tomato juice.  The strainer is so easy to put together and to take apart for clean up. My tomato juice turned out so nice, just like store bought.   I highly recommend the Kitchen Aid Fruit and Vegetable Strainer and the company whom I purchased from through Walmart.com

Making Jelly and Juice has just been made easier
