It uses a 4-stage reverse osmosis filtration process to help reduce common contaminants such as lead, arsenic, PFAS, fluoride, chlorine, and nitrates. The installation instructions should spell out the orientation of the washers for the cold water valve. I kept having a leak until I reversed the washer.
The water is a little cloudy at first which I assume is very small air bubbles. It clears up quickly.
