Bought for a gift for my daughter . She has used several times and loves it  . Love the fan in the middle no smoke for in side cooking  . Even tho the fan is in the middle of surface still plenty of room for food

Still pretty smokey even with the fan on.. I used it only one time and had to put the food in the oven to finish it off.. Burning on the outside, and raw on the inside

2-- 8 ounce steaks at a time and because you were cooking on that side  it took a while. its ok for 1 at a time start on one side of the grill , when you flip it flip it to the other side of the fan. over all ok for a single person or a couple, not for three or more and eat at the same time.

Not for family of three or more

Good news; makes food taste like outdoor grilled food.  Easy to use and clean. It has a fan that sucks the smoke  in and works ok. 
Bad news; Instructions says to clean (after 80 uses) the smoke filter, it goes in the oven at 500 degrees for 4hrs?!? That's a big electric bill, no thanks I'll just buy a new one. The pork chops, and burgers were still raw on the sides. I thought Carne Asada would work better because it was thin, it wouldn't cook the edges. Lastly, the cooked food gets cold on the top, while you're cooking the other side. 
Neat idea but its design is flawed with uneven heat distribution.

Had Some Good %26 Notsogreat Things About It

Well, let's see for one thing it does smoke a little bit my kitchen was smoky so it does not keep all the smoke eBay. It makes me cough. I will not buy that brand again. It does cook OK it just makes my kitchen in my house. Smoky and I put it together the way it said put it together. Cooking will be outside with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seamed like good idea and I like the Gotham copper as I have other Gotham products. However the grill pattern on this unit was harder to clean in the grooves than my other Gotham griddle grill. The drip pan was a breeze to clean and I could have worked with the grill grooves if I wiped it off immediately before grill debris hardened. And rinsed it really well before washing. Nevertheless like I indicated in the title, the charcoal smoke filter broke the second day and I did not drop it. I wiped the grease off it with damp rag and I felt the charcoal crack. The instructions say it's good for 80 uses, I got two out of it. And supposedly it can be removed from plastic and heated in oven to clean. That was absolutely impossible as there would be no way to remove the plastic without breaking the charcoal disc inside. Sorry Gotham this product is a”dog” as it's still messy; grease splatters while meat is cooking even with the noisy fan. And I use splatter shield behind unit, which was full of grease. I'm Retuning the unit and purchasing the ninja sizzle indoor smokeless grill griddle because it has a removable lid to keep in the grease and smoke and all parts are dishwasher safe.

Charcoal filter broke the second day.

I can't fit a large steak on it due to the raised middle. It also doesn't cook the sides well. There are definitely better on the market that don't have something in the way. Also, it may have been better with some sort of cover that could be used when needed.

the fan stops working after 2 minutes.  it makes a wonky sound and then stops completely.   I'm returning it.

Cannot cook anything on this grill without it burning! Followed all instructions for preparing different food and no success! Everything sticks! Wish I could get money back!
