This is much better than the cheap cable Apple supplies with its phones.  Apple has a history of flimsy power cords and the like, which is ironic given how expensive their products are.  In any event, I am very pleased with this one and think it will be difficult to damage it.  Well worth the cost, which is about half of what Apple charges for a new one.

Con: This cable is very stiff. I would prefer the cable softer. Sometimes when I move my phone around it is very easy for the cable to knock down other objects on my desk.

Got Palette braided cables because previous unbraided cables cracked, exposing inner metal conductor.  So far the braided cable seems more flexible so less likely to crack.  Rated 4 rather than 5 stars only because I haven't had chance to test them long-term.

Palette Lightning cable works well

I bought two of these 18" cables, one for attaching my iPhone stored in a front enclosed space of my center console where it is a perfect out of view space for no distractions while driving using the phones car play feature.  The other one was for my wife's car but that phone only had one place I could put it and still plug it in.  That was in a cup holder in her center console mounted further away from the plug.  It still reached but the cable is pulled tight right next to gear shift.  It needs to be about 4" longer, so a 2 foot cable would be a better fit, but no such option was available.  You need to provide a 2' cable also.

Looks good, and it has worked fine so far. The biggest issue with most of these cables is longevity. Since I have only had it for a few weeks, I cannot judge that.

They work well enough but the cord is quite stiff and I wasn?t expecting that, it doesn?t detract from their functionality but I would prefer a more flexible material.

I was neither impressed nor displeased with this product. The charges using this cable were on the slow side and didn't last. I even got the dreaded “this accessory is not supported” message on occasion. But the charger did eventually get my iPhone to 100% so for the price I'm at generally satisfied.

So So

It works, but suffers from the two most common Lightning cable drawbackss.
1. It is expensive.
2. The shell of the lightning connector is too big to fit through many iPhone cases and make a good connection.

It Works, But...

To be honest this thing sucks. It won't stay connected/charging, have to hold the connector into the phone and not move at all or it stops charging.  Bought these because they had decent reviews, but they are terrible for me.

Grab a straw, these suck

Despite being MFI certified, and appearing to be of great construction, two of these cables have already stopped working, less than 2 months in. Very disappointing and I'll be contacting Monoprice about the situation
