I've been using the humidifier for about 5 weeks almost non stop (it gets dry here in Michigan winters and the house is big). It takes about 4 gallons of water every day. I think it works better than the other one I have that's probably 12 years old.  It's lightweight when empty.  The plastic is thin and the walls of the humidifier are slightly flexible, but it doesn't get in the way of functioning. The noise level is ok, not horrible but still noticeable. The filters are not cheap, but not overly expensive (about $35). Hopefully I'll be able to get away with only having to replace it twice a winter.

Easy, quiet, and well running humidifier.  The size is great. It holds 6 gallons but does not take up a lot of space. very quiet and super easy to get going.

Does the Job Well

Been using these for four years in our desert home. They are compact, have a large water tank, run quietly and are effective. I wish they'd produce one a little more aesthetic like the shell of the Mantra humidifier.

This is my second purchase of this humidifier. The first one died due to multiple ice storm power surges last spring.  
It keeps our apartment comfortable in winter (we have fan forced gas heater) with only setting at 45% humidity.

Very pleased with the performance

I am a fan of evaporative humidifiers. They seem to work better than misters and make less of a mess. This one is very easy to fill and was very easy to set up. The filters are definitely expensive but overall this was a great purchase and I ordered a second one this year for my bedroom. I'd recommend this to anybody who needs to increase humidity in their home and doesn't want a mister sitting right next to their bed.

My favorite humidifier

The product shipped fast, it went together easy even with the limited instructions. We are very pleased with this appliance. It is 'very ' quiet and in no time had our 2700 sq ft 2 upper living levels including the 600 sq ft of open lower level living space humidified. Couldn't be happier and definitely recommend this product.

Definitely a Keeper!

Unit arrived as scheduled. Upon unpacking, I noticed that the float stem was bent. Considering other reviews that called out float alignment issues, I ran hot water over the stem and very gradually bent it back to straight - worked fine. Note that the Styrofoam STAYS on the bottom of the float stem, it is not just packing material. We placed the unit in the foyer of our 2-story home near the furnace cold air return. It has the capacity to keep the humidity level wherever you set it, but requires the fan to run at speeds 2 or 3 under dry conditions (when the furnace is running often). Filling is easy, and we picked up some Bactericide at local big box store to keep it fresh.  Since I'm seeing a big difference between the humidity reading on the Aircare unit and a cheap hygrometer we have in the house, we will be picking up a better hygrometer soon. One feature that I miss on this unit is a water level gauge. There is a "tank empty" display, but in the meantime, it requires peeking into the tank to see the water level. We will likely get a second unit for our upstairs.

Aircare Whole House Humidifier

This humidifier is much easier to fill BUT there is no light to let u see the fill line. I've had 3 of the pedestal  Amcare humidifiers and they have a light. I would not purchase this one again because of that. Wish I had stuck with the pedestal.  It's VERY easy to over fill.

I had this sent to my elderly parents who are not able to get out and shop.  Ordering and delivery process was simple and quick.  However, after they had the maintenance man at their retirement center assemble the unit, neither they nor he could get it to work.   On my next visit, I re-assembled and could not get the motor to turn on.  I called customer service and after a 2 or 3 minute wait, was connected with an English speaking knowledgeable service rep who walked me through the troubleshooting steps again (which I had done from reading the manual).  We determined the unit was defective, and she ordered a replacement motor and said it would go out Fed Ex in a couple of days.  Parents have not yet received the replacement, but it was just 5 days ago when it was ordered.  Hopefully the new unit will arrive as promised and work.  Ordering, delivery, and follow up customer service would rate as good or excellent...only problem was the unit.

I thought because I was paying a little more than the other products I would get a great item - I was wrong. This item is cheap plastic, the top doesn't even align correctly unless you push it together and I can't get it to work. The filter placement doesn't even fit securely so I had to press the entire thing into a snug place to keep it sung enough to hold it in place - So disappointed and will be sending back
