My son started to hate writing, because I would correct his hand position.  The claw keeps his hand in the correct position, so we can focus on other things like letter formation, etc.  Now, he doesn't mind writing, and is sounding out words to write them. I am anxious to find out if eventually he will hold the pencil correctly on his own, or if he will revert back to old habits.

I have two boys and this product seems great in theory, but did not work for my boys. Maybe be beneficial for girls, but my boys were too intrigued with trying to tear it to pieces and throwing them.

May work for some...
