Here's a case of “You get what you pay for”.  I wasn't happy with the toasters I bought in a department store.  I finally found one that's attractive and a keeper.  My only complaint is that I thought I had to buy the crumb tray separately.  I thought it was odd that the toaster wouldn't come with one.  It did.  Don't buy the tray alone.

I have used this toaster only a few times since delivery in July 15, 2025. I like that it has several options (bagel, express finish, reheat, frozen), although I have yet to explore them. It has a crumb tray which is a bonus! So far, I have had no issues with it. Love the white color!

Love Cafe brand!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the simplicity of the toaster. Easy to use and the color and style fits with the Cafe wall oven and Cafe Smart microwave. Cleaning the crumb tray is so much easier with the door to the side of the toaster. Making toast is considerably faster than a traditional toaster. The controls are at your fingertips and easy to use. The 2 slot capacity is large enough for a bagel and therefore big enough for any size toast you want to make.

So Much More Than A Toaster

Best toaster I've ever used.  It gets hot and creates the desired effectiveness evenly and quickly. It looks good too.  we have matching GE Cafe appliances (stove, refrigerator and dishwasher)

Great Toaster

This is a beautiful toaster with retro elegance and black/copper design enhances any kitchen decor. It has many modern features and works with bread, bagels and waffles.  What more could you ask for? I've only had the toaster for a few weeks but the performance is very good and the results seem consistent. Hopefully it works this well for years to come.

Timeless elegance with modern features

I'm not sure yet if I need to return or keep. Beautiful looking toaster and matches my new gas stove. Has nice features. However not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's not working properly. Sometimes I'll press down lever to start toasting and it pops back up for no reason. I have adjusted the control knob and that seems to work but I don't think I should have to. I also do not keep it plugged in unless I need to use it. So could it be the toaster is not warmed up to start toasting. But I've never had a toaster you had to wait to warm up… so that's why I rated it a 4 out of 5.

I do not like this toaster.  It does not toast evenly.  It also either toasts too much or too little.  This is the 2nd one I have owned as well.  The 1st one broke in under a year for no apparent reason.  I was hoping it was just a bad toaster, but this 2nd one is just as poor.  I give it 2 stars because it doesn't use much plastic and looks nice.

This toaster, while very attractive, is poorly made and barely performs as well as much cheaper toasters.  Even during the 12 months the toaster worked, it did a poor job of toasting, unevenly toasting the two sides of a piece of bread and doing an even worse job toasting bagels. While the warranty lasts 12 months, my toaster stopped toasting at the beginning of month 13, leaving me with an attractive object for my countertop but not the toaster I need and will now have to replace after already spending way too much on this disappointing toaster.

Proof that Beauty isn't Everything — Save Your $$$

I received this toaster as a gift for Christmas.  It broke only after a few uses.  It appears the carriage assembly isn't very sturdy and bent very easily just from popping up.   I did get a replacement toaster as it was still covered by warranty.  I suggest GE find a better quality supplier.

Nice looking but terrible quality otherwise. This gave out after about 2 years. For the price point, I shouldn't have to buy a new toaster every other year. It doesn't leave our counter and stays plugged into the same outlet, so it hasn't had a hard life. Extremely disappointing.
