Until now you have been asked to choose between a manual and an automatic. The Oracle is the worlds first automatic manual espresso machine that brings true caf quality to your home without the barista. The Oracle has automatic grinding, dosing, tamping and milk texturing, automating the two most difficult parts of manual espresso.The hands free automatic grind, dose and tamp works with the integrated conical burr grinder to deliver the required amount of coffee, mess free, into the filter basket. The automatic milk texturing then textures milk to the selected temperature and style, from silky smooth latte (less texture) to creamy cappuccino (more texture). Finally, the innovative One Touch Americano feature delivers a double espresso, then separately through a dedicated spout, fills the cup with hot water, the same way as any good caf.At the heart of the Oracle are its dual stainless steel boilers and patent pending triple heat system. The Oracle has a dedicated espresso boiler with PID technology to extract the espresso shot to within +/- 2F (1C) of the selected temperature. The Oracle also has a dedicated steam boiler to deliver instant and continuous steam on demand. You can extract espresso and texture milk simultaneously, allowing you to capture the delicate aromatics of the espresso in your coffee by having the espresso and milk ready at the same time.The Oracle also features an Over Pressure Valve (OPV). This is such a great machine, I upgraded from my previous machine, a Sage Barisra Touch which I loved, to The Oracle and the dual boiler and increased pressure make it even better. Great machine and worth the money if you compare to the street price of a coffee!

I bought a Sage Oracle little over 2 years ago and the frother's boiler started to have issues: it was heating the water constantly if the machine was plugged in. Although my warranty just expired, Customer Support extended it and helped solving the issue without any cost. Eventually I've got a brand new replacement. I highly recommend the company and the machine!

Great machine, great customer support

In short “YES”. I know people will think I have to say that as I purchased one but this really is a case or “you get what you pay for”. Since owning the Oracle I have found that the draw of coffee shops has all but gone. 
The machine itself is so easy to use and makes you feel like a pro barista when in fact it is doing all the hard. I am personally a latte drinking and having the ability to make the milk the perfect temperature for my taste (depending on whether I want to drink it fast or over time). 
All in all, if you love good coffee and you can afford it, just buy it, I promise you won't regret it.

Is it worth the price? YES

The Sage Oracle BES980UK is a high quality professional machine using materials of a high standard and finish. I purchased to replace a top of the range Delonghi bean to cup we had for many years. I can safely say this machine is a world a part in its ease of use and the quality the drinks it makes - espresso, latte and cappuccino. Of course it matters the quality of beans you use but this machine seems to get the very best out of them, absolutely amazing. Then there are excellent little touches in that you can fill the water from the front without having to remove the water caddie. It's possible to dispense two espresso coffees at the same time as frothing the milk automatically to a selected temperature and foam density and there is a separate spout for hot water. There is also the ability to raise up its feet so the machine can be easily moved. The Sage Oracle can be fully programme all the settings of grinder, brewing and steam so you can get the best out of your coffee once set with the touch of a button. My only regret? Not buying a Sage Oracle a lot sooner.

Professional coffee made easy at home with Sage Oracle.

I thought our previous coffee machine (not Sage) was perfect……until we invested in this Sage product.  The coffee is amazing, the machine is easy to use…..and I can make two cups of coffee at the same time! 
The machine is well made, the design is great, so I have nothing but praise for this new addition to our household.

Perfect addition to our household.

I love this semi automated bean to cup coffee machine, it has just the right blend of manual and automation to allow you to easily create a perfect cup without needing a degree in coffee science! I tried the more expensive version of this but found that you have less control.
A couple of niggles are that you get inconsistencies every now and then and the one shot basket is a little flakey, hence only 4 stars....
Oracle customer service team have been excellent if you need to contact them.

My biggest tip would be to source fresh coffe from a local roastery, rather than buy supermarket stuff thats been sat in the shelf for months!

Great semi automated coffee machine

I bought this to replace an old delonghi one and it's fantastic. You have to descale and do various cleaning routines which can be a bit time consuming

Makes good coffee

This is the 3rd oracle I have owned and have mixed emotions about it! Firstly it is stylish, extremely functional and makes great coffee!!! It is also simple to use.BUT it will only last 2 - 2.5 years before developing multiple faults such as boiler failure, temperature switch issues, grinder deterioration to name but a few. You may ask why keep buying it if it is so bad. Well as I stated it makes great coffee and looks amazing  and unfortunately to buy something more robust and reliable I would have to spend 3 or 4 times more. Great machine but it will fail eventually ( and sooner than you think considering the cost!)

Great features but unreliable!

Purchased the first machine 6th. December 2024 pump faulty and  would not work from day one.
Sage service tried to help for three days and ended up replacing it on 12th. December 2024. 
The second Sage Oracle works great, yet takes a long time to warm up -10 mins,
We make only Cappuccinos and coffee is great, yet the foaming is max 4/10, Fresh milk from 3 different stores, use full and 2% skimmed yet makes no difference which milk is used.
Turned the  foamer temperature up to 70C and this also makes no difference.
Use auto foamer most yet manual foaming gives the same result max. 4/10

Decided to replace our trusted Jura machine with this one.  However, we quickly realised our mistake. First machine arrived and it was damaged, water leaking out of it.  Replacement machine worked for a couple of weeks and then the grinder broke along with the electronics that continually requested machine clean.  I would have expected better from a renowed company such as Sage, as we have other Sage appliances and they are good.  To be fair their customer service tried to sort it but I had got so frustrated by 2 malfunctioning machines which don't come cheap = returned and refunded!

Not Impressed!
