Bought 3 of these to cover shrubs in my landscaping that had already been damaged by deer. They work beautifully. I did think they were overpriced but after numerous searches, I realized there just isn't anything out there for this purpose. 
I would recommend.

Perfect to keep deer out

I purchased 7 shrub covers. It took quite a bit of time to open each one, untie the bag of stakes that was tied inside each one and then tie the netting to the fiberglass poles in a few places within each one. It should be listed as "some assembly required", LOL!! The ground was soft so the stakes went in easily and I didn't need to use a rubber mallet or hammer. The squirrels and rabbits haven't been seen for a couple of days so the covers seem to be doing their job. Hooray!

Keeps the Rabbits Out

Bought this to protect my roses, hostas, and other "deer food" from the herds of white tail deer roaming my neighborhood every night. The spray I used with limited success for years seems to loose its repellent taste. So the "hoodies" seem to be then next best protection of the plants. They do not look very appealing and need some work to be installed, but they seem to work at least for the last 2 months I have started to use them. Cannot say anything about their long-term effectiveness and durability. Deer learns how to deal with guards. They do not let butterflies or bumble bees reach the pollen on the flowers under the cover, but there are sufficient other plants that help them out and that do not need deer protection.

While it's effective at keeping birds away. I found that persistent rabbits are able to easily chew through the plastic mesh to get in.
