Vacuum system is GREAT. I have been using this shaver for about a month with initial 80 min charge. Using the .05 Setting I need to make 1 or 2 passes to get the look that I want and in doing so I cut the front of my upper lip thus I had to adjust the setting to .1. 
For me the unit is a little longer and heavier than I would like it to be, but I understand that because of the great vacuum system, it needs to be bigger. Since this unit is bigger (longer) I am concerned that it might slip out of my hand causing breakage. That being said, I am not a man of slight stature (6'2" and 200 lb.).
Love this shaver.

This is my 2nd Phillips unit I have owned. The first one lasted between 12 and 14 years. If my new unit last anywhere as long I'll be very happy. The new one is great and trims and cleans up just as easily. Good job on the re-engineering of this new model.

Top notch!

I like the product. It works very well. The only thing that would make this product better would be if I could just rinse it out under the faucet. I guess this feature is sacrificed because of the fact that it does suck in all of the hair as you cut it which is a nice feature in itself. All in all it works very well.

Does what it is supposed to do very well

I love how this trimmer actually works. Very smooth and efficient. Vacuums most of the hair. All is good. However, there is a design flaw that makes it difficult to take apart and put back together, and you have to do so after every use to clean. The prongs that hold the main cutting element in place are very thin and fragile. I've never been able to put back on the first attempt. You have to align it perfectly or it wont go. No matter how careful I am, it always feels like it might break. In fact, it has already happened to me after just a few months. Philips customer service was excellent; they replaced free of charge, but it feels like it will break again at any time. Should not be so difficult to align the prongs; they should be thicker, stronger. Very weakly made.

Works great, but hard to clean

About 10 or so years ago, I had a Phillips Norelco vacuum beard trimmer with the “Turbo Boost” feature. Gradually, that beard trimmer broke down. So, I went back to its manufacturer when it appeared that there were no other manufacturers who offered beard trimmers with the so pleasantly convenient, built-in vacuum. Sadly, I found that Phillips Norelco no longer offers any of its vacuum beard trimmers with the “Turbo Boost” feature. >:( So, I figured that I would give the Phillips Norelco “Series 7000 BT 7225 BT/49” a try and hope for the best. 

I find that I do miss the “Turbo Boost” feature, but I also find cleaning up significantly less convenient when compared to my previous Phillips Norelco vacuum beard trimmer with the turbo boost feature. Additionally, my new BT 7225/49 does not capture as many of the trimmed whisker pieces as my previous vacuum beard trimmer by Phillips Norelco.

I do like the design and the numerical dial for selecting how close or long I want to trim my beard. Both the plastic guide/shield for beard length and the removable trimmer blade assembly below that detach fairly easily for cleaning, but like I mentioned earlier, removing the remnant whiskers within is problematic and require much more effort to remove those, and even then there are too many whisker pieces that seemingly resist my efforts at removing them with the small bristle and sponge brushes provided.

Please seriously reconsider your engineers' choice to remove the “Turbo Boost” feature and consider engineering a much more user friendly means of cleaning out the trimmed whisker pieces.

Bought this product for less messy grooming sessions. It indeed captures 90% of the hairs as advertise, but cleaning the vacuum chamber is a lot of work. The hair sticks to the plastic interiors of the vacuum chamber and even with the brushes provided it is difficult to clean. If you are not careful, you may make more mess while cleaning the vacuum chamber.

Nice concept but there is room to mature

Removing the blade to clean is awkward and putting the blade back in is a pain. Its virtually impossible to fit the blade back into its holder. The slide pieces are fragile and break off easily.

This product is poorly designed

I have fine hair and, when set to 9mm, many hairs are not cut and for the next few days i have to manually trim those missed with scissors. Also, when using the detail attachment, I found it hard to exactly trim to a line. Neither are problems which I had with my prior beard trimmers.

Leaves too many long hairs

This device is not my first trimmer from Philips Norelco brand. My original one was a thousand times better than what I have right now.

Number 1: the trimmer assembly is very difficult to put on and easy to bend or break two thin plastic latches.

Number 2: Tremendous difficult to clean due lack of "door" to open and clean like my old one.

Number 3: It does not trim much closer than my old one. I have to use a different trimmer to make closer and clean.

I really unhappy with this trimmer and will see for new one.

So many disadvanges

Advertised as the replacement for the QT4070 - about the only thing in common is they both have a vacuum system to pick up the cut trimmings. The BT7215 does not have the speed "boost" function that the QT4070 had. I bought the BT7215 because the battery was failing in my QT4070. 

Each time I try to trim my beard with the BT7215 - I have to plug in my old beard trimmer and use the boost function on it to finish trimming my beard. The BT7215 does a horrible job of trimming my beard! The BT7215 looks nice and sleak but functionally it's a disaster. You have to hold it at an unusual angle to get it to try to trim. Also, it's very difficult to clean it up afterwards because of it's bowl-like catch system for the trimmed beard. 

Bring back the QT4070!!
