We recently canceled our cable and decided to try over the air networking. I bought this antenna and the upgraded $30.00 Phillips antenna to see which worked better. This antenna gets 10 more channels then the upgraded amplified antenna and the pictures are perfect! Great Buy!!!

I am extremely novice about antennas and tvs, and I couldn't believe I was able to get the antenna to work so great on my parent's TV. For months they had been without the tv in the living room as my brothers were trying to get it to work from an antenna in the attic that was hooked up to the tv in the kitchn but it did not work on the one in the living room.
I was very pleasantly suprised at the sharp picture once the channels were locked in. I may have to go back and delete a few channels that don't have anything on them unless I work with the knob more on top to see if they come in at all. Would definitely recommend. Alot easer than I had thought possible.
Also it said it could pick up signals from a distance of 20 miles, and I know the cities where they are coming in from are about 40 or farther.

I purchased this product for my daughter a few week ago and we got up to 24 channels...great investment...

I just bought this yesterday. I picked up 8-10 channels -VHF. Then I find out that you have to buy something extra for UHF channels. I guess the the Phillips Antenna for an additional $10 has the ability to receive both. I might return it for that reason and get the more expensive one or search and find out how much this UHF adapter is. Does work though and I was pleased.

Good Product for the Price

Got no signal at all at first, then made slight adjustments to the orientation and subsequently got all the channels I wanted. I have DirecTV and just wanted to be able to get local sports broadcasts in HD from the major networks, without having to pay all the extra fees for an HD package from DirecTV. There is a tree-covered hill between me and the ganglion of broadcast antennas about 15 miles from me, yet this inexpensive antenna is picking them all up just fine. I'm very happy with the results of this antenna and it has, for me at least, a great price performance ratio. I will get another one to use with our older analog HDTV down in the basement once I can find a decent analog/digital converter to use with it. NOTE: It's very difficult to see that there is a protective clear film cover on all of the antenna pieces. You MUST remove this film to get results. If you just can't see the film and assume that it isn't there, then try to use this unit, it won't work. So, take a piece of sticky tape and press it against a corner of the DULL side of each piece, then slowly peel the tape back from the corner until you see that the clear protective film is coming up with it. Do that for all three pieces of the antenna BEFORE you try to assemble it, just like the instructions say.

Works just fine for me

My model was SDV2210/17. I attached it to my computer that has a TV tuner with the purpose of receiving HDTV for the free broadcast networks. I live in a concrete block, 2 story townhouse, attached on both sides. The VHF stations were received in sharp HD except for ABC which is difficult to receive in my area. With digital signals the picture is either on or off, there is no in between reception. I had to place the antenna on the second floor and run an extension down to the first floor to keep ABC from cutting out.
Besides the rabbit ears there is a short UHF antenna and a fine tuning rotating nob that helped bring in these channels reasonably well.
The unit is stylish, light in weight , but sturdy, and low in price. I would be surprised if any other rabbit ears antenna could do better.

Good performance & stylish for low price

This antenna works ok at best....I picked up 28 channels, but I have to adjust or even place my antenna in different places to get a view-able signal with some channels, and some of them never even picked up a strong enough signal to show a picture....In other words, I wasn't able to channel surf and pick up a signal for all of the 28 channels without having to move the antenna around....I would like an antenna that sits in one place, and picks up a signal for every channel that is broadcast-ed in my area...maybe that's too much to ask for, smh...

Could be better

I bought these because we are on a dock that does not have cable service (North Vancouver, BC) but we are close to the television tower so signals should be strong. Researched several brands picked these based on price, brand name and size. It's not plug and play, you need a little patience, and be ready to experiment with location and you have to re-scan after each move. Eventually, I was able to pick up CTV 1 and 2, CBC, Global, and Omni stations, the picture was flawless with no choppiness.

Worked at Marina on lower level of boat shed.

I live in a relatively rural area, more than 20 miles from any transmitters for VHF/UHF signals, in a first floor apartment. This antenna was attached to my Sharp Aquos HDTV and picked up 4 channels. I moved it around, played with the "ears" and the tuner but couldn't really get any more channels than that. I will be returning it today to purchase another brand/model. The channels I was able to receive came in very clear with great sound/picture quality. I believe if you lived closer to the transmitters, this would be a great indoor antenna.

You get what you pay for

The device receives the desired TV stations, but can take a lot of space, it looks like retro antenna. I returned it and got something else

Did the work but take too much space

Box says it picks up UHF and VHF signals. However, upon reading the instructions in the box you come to find out that you need to purchase another piece of hardware to pickup UHF signals.

The 3 channels (none of the main network channels) I did pick up were choppy and poor quality. The adjustment knob did not make any difference. Will be returning.
