Ratings & Reviews+

Philips Lens Cleaner is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my DVD-R drive! I recently found my laptop's DVD-R drive unable to read any discs (not even retail DVD-VIDEO discs). My other, much older computer had issues accessing certain discs, but then might read them fine later. I was about to buy a new external drive when I decided to give this product a whirl first and boy, am I glad I did! The Philips Lens Cleaner is a simple CD with 2 tiny brushes on it. Once inserted, you can "play" the CD like an audio disc (and it does have audio file that tell you how to start it). The disc then spin for a while and the 2 different types of brush clean up the laser lens inside your player. No cleaning fluid necessary. This works on both computer and set top CD/DVD players (as well as video game consoles). The result was wonderfully. Both of my computers can now read EVERY DVD or CD I insert in them! This product is very affordable and a must have!
