This is my first electric shaver so I wasn't sure of what to expect over a blade razor. This shaver does a pretty good job but not as close as a blade obviously, but close.

As my eyesight is getting difficult my wife bought this for me. I wa a little sceptical as I had a foil type many ears ago and did not like it.
This has been a joy to use. So convenient. Easy to handle, gives a good shave and after 10 days there is still plenty of charge left

I will give you this - Norelco is much better in all ways than the competition of Rem*&^%$, etc., BUT I miss just a 'plain Jane' simple corded model, which I have always had and prefer. One can not find a razor now with a sideburn trimmer that has a cord without the gel injection, rechargeable, and other features I do not need.
My father always used a simple 2 or 3 head Norelco which plugs in and I prefer this too. This model is about 85% the power, even fully charged, of the old corded type. I like the grip too of my old one a little better too for some reason - more comfortable. Unfortunately, everything seems to change, including products, and change is NOT always better or good. I would even pay more for the 'old' type I used to have verses this lower power rechargeable.

Shave is a quantum leap better that either of the two models previously owned, that were decidedly much more expensive.

I have apprehension with the amount of rubberized insert on this
model. My two previous Philips models only mode of failure was in
the rubberized switch area rendering the units unusable. The unit I am reviewing has extremely more rubber on and about the switch area again, to my chagrin.

Product is missing the trimmer. More rubber used in switch a negative for last two Philips razors.

I recently had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder(my dominate side) and my wife thought it would be a great idea to try your electric razor. I have a very heavy beard and I was truly surprised how much I like your razor. Even using my left hand it shaves close and clean and leaves no burn. Getting pretty used to it and I plan to keep using the razor after I recover from my surgery.

Haven't ever used an electric razor because of my heavy beard but was pleasantly surprised how great it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My recently purchased Model 3000 Norelco shaver performs reliably and without problems. I now prefer this single unit shaver with the shaver head enclosed in the body.

I still have my Norelco 5000 shaver which has a higher speed shaver head and swiveling/detachable shaver head. However, this more advanced model suffers from the shaver head falling off when pressed snugly against parts of my face, such as under my chin.

I am thus happier with my less fancy Model 3000. It is sturdier and always gets the job done.

Reliable product

The shaver is about a month old, work great, close shave, keeps a good charge...good shaver for the money.

Good Product For The $$$$$

Needs full thirty minutes for a close shave. Then of course needs full charge. Not as good as older version which I still have and use. Bit disappointed with it.
