Shaver is simple to rinse with water or under the tap.

Have had many electric shavers over the years and have to say this Philips shaver is one of the best. Wanted a lightweight one for taking on holidays but didn't want to compromise shave. This one is brilliant on both counts. Like USB charging cable connection. Would highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If this battery razor is as durable as my last electric Norelco razor  that lasted over 20 years, It will be my best razor ever, it does shave my face more effortlessly and cleaner than the old one. I have not received any incentive for this review. I'm glad I stuck with Norelco.

Great shaver

It's a really good shaver, I purchased it to replace my very old Philips PT920 shaver. Having used the Philips for years it was an easy decision to purchase another Philips. I would say that my older shaver seems to be better made, the on/off switch is a much better design and all round just feels better quality, ( maybe its a sign of the times). I would still highly recommend the Philips 3000 s3242/12 as its a really good shaver.

A really good shaver.

1) I particularly like the fact that this shaver holds its charge very well indeed. The charge bars (on the grip)  indicate the rate of decline of the charge. At first I thought they were not working but after a month or so the charge dropped from three bars to two. 
2)The charge from empty is very fast indeed.
3)I like the fact that the shaver manages to cut close - meaning you don't have to keep going over the same part of your face - as has happened to me with other shavers.
4)The detail facility works well and I haven't had the annoyance of trimming into my moustache.
5)All in all a very good purchace!

I chose this high rating because this Phillips shaver is very good I like the fact that you can use it in the shower plus it is rechargeable ideal for taking away on holiday this is to replace my old Remington should of brought a Phillips one in the first place very happy with my purchase

Easy to clean rechargeable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like the style and feel of the razor, I was hoping for a smoother shave. However I was a little disappointed that a charger was not included with razor! I have been a Philips customer for over 30 years.

I don't like the charger connection though - it's hard to make the connection because you can't see the connectors and just have to keep wiggling the shaver around until it eventually finds its spot.

Good, with a couple of issues.

I was always a wet shave man, I just thought I'd give the electric a go. I'm disappointed with the shave; it struggles to remove the hairs on my neck, and I have to go over the same area many times to remove stubborn bristles. Also, the battery life is quite short. Now I've made the purchase, I will persevere for now.

New to dry shave

The overall shave is good, but not great as far as closeness is concerned. It is fine for an inexpensive shaver. The price is great. Why pay so much more money for an expensive Norelco, even if the shave is somewhat closer?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a safety razor of some sort for 50 years.  I have been forced to change to electric due to use of blood thinners.  I can't get this shaver to "glide" over my face so I can "move is circular motion".  I haven't been using it long and haven't tried the "wet" option with anything other than my old shave cream that is too thick.  I rated it a 3 because I can't get as good a shave as I did with razor and it takes MUCH longer to get a satisfactory result.  I don't know how to compare with other electric shavers since I have never used one.
